Throughout January, the average wait times have continued to drop and drop.
However, things are changing this week because almost every attraction’s wait time went UP this week! The times haven’t changed a ton, but they are going in the opposite direction than they were going for a while. Today, we’re going to take a look at the average wait times in ALL four parks from this week!
Magic Kingdom
Last week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest wait in Magic Kingdom and in all of Disney World. It continues the winning streak with 51 minutes. It’s a little shocking anytime we see this average under an hour, especially since it’s only 51 minutes!
Other thrill rides in Magic Kingdom had pretty low waits. Space Mountain had an average wait time of 22 minutes, Splash Mountain averaging 27 minutes, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad averaged 36 minutes.
Space Mountain was lower than several other attractions including Peter Pan’s Flight at 23 minutes, “it’s a small world” at 27 minutes, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 28 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 29 minutes, Jungle Cruise at 34 minutes, and Pirates of the Caribbean at 33 minutes.
Other average waits in the same range include Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin with a 22-minute wait time, and Mickey’s PhilarMagic with a 17-minute wait time.
With waits in the teens, we saw The Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 12 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway at 13 minutes, Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid at 14 minutes, The Barnstormer at 15 minutes, and Haunted Mansion and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 18 minutes.
Other attractions with really short wait times include Country Bear Jamboree at 3 minutes, Carousel of Progress at 8 minutes, Mad Tea Party at 9 minutes, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 10 minutes.
Just like the previous weeks, there were a handful of attractions with zero minute wait times, including Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, and Enchanted Tiki Room. The Hall of Presidents is currently under refurbishment.
This is still the time to be at Disney World if you like to be away from crowds! Even though almost every wait time went up this week, it was only by a few minutes. There is still not an average wait time in Disney World that is over an hour, which is rare!

EPCOT
Test Track continues to have the longest wait in EPCOT this week at 44 minutes. After going down 9 minutes last week, the attraction’s average wait time went up 4 minutes this week.
Other popular attractions didn’t have much of a wait like Soarin‘ with a 21-minute wait, Frozen After Ever with a 22-minute wait, and Mission: SPACE with a 17-minute wait.
The rest of EPCOT saw super short average wait times, including Spaceship Earth and Journey Into Imagination with Figment at 11 minutes, the Seas with Nemo & Friends, the Gran Fiesta Tour, and Living with the Land at 7 minutes.
How to Find the Hidden Figments at EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts!
Just like past weeks, all of the films in EPCOT had a zero minute wait, which includes Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Awesome Planet, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China. American Adventure.
These wait times stayed pretty much the same and didn’t fluctuate too much. The Festival of the Arts is still happening which tends to bring crowds towards World Showcase and its activities rather than attractions. Test Track is still consistently busy when we visit the parks, but everything else doesn’t have much of a wait a lot of the time!
The Gran Fiesta Tour Animatronic Saga Continues…
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This park used to win the longest wait time in all of Disney World, but the times have been much lower these past few weeks! The longest wait time in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is now Twilight Zone Tower of Terror with 48 minutes. This time is up by 7 minutes from last week and beat out Slinky Dog Dash who had an average of 46-minutes this week.
Other longer average wait times in the 30s include Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 35 minutes, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 36 minutes.
In the 20s range, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster averaged 27 minutes, Star Tours averaged 24 minutes, Muppet*Vision 3D and Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy averaged 22 minutes, and Toy Story Mania averaged 21 minutes.
Alien Swirling Saucers saw an average wait time of 19 minutes making it the lowest wait time in the park again. Keep in mind that Rise of the Resistance is not included in these numbers due to its virtual queue.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Both attractions in Pandora — the Land of Avatar had surprising wait time shifts this week! Flight of Passage averaged 28 minutes (which means it went down by 1 minute this week), and Na’vi River Journey went up to 41 minutes, making it the longest wait time in the park for quite a bit now.
All average wait times were pretty low throughout the park. Dinosaur had an average wait time of 19 minutes, Kilimanjaro Safaris had an average wait time of 14 minutes, Expedition Everest had an average wait time of 13 minutes, and It’s Tough to Be a Bug had an average wait time of 11 minutes.
Triceratop Spin had the shortest wait time in the park of 5 minutes. Kali River Rapids is currently under refurbishment.
This week’s average wait times have stayed very low with the exception of Na’vi River Journey! But even the wait time for that ride is pretty low. We hope this look at average wait times helps those of you prepping for a Disney trip soon! Stay tuned to DFB, and check for our weekly wait times next week!
