Does This Mean EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat Concerts Are Coming Back?

Last year, we got to enjoy the International Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT, but a few things were different or missing.

International Food and Wine Festival

One of the biggest things that was missing was the Eat to the Beat Concert series. The concerts were unfortunately canceled for last year’s Festival. Also, other similar events at EPCOT’s festivals — like the Disney on Broadway Concert Series that usually takes place at the International Festival of the Arts — have not taken place since the parks reopened after the COVID-19 closures. The 2021 Food and Wine Festival is still several months away and we really haven’t gotten details about it yet. But, we have found something that might give us a clue about the future of the Eat to the Beat Concerts at this year’s Festival!

A huge thank you to our follower Bob Dankese (@monorailbob on Twitter) for sharing this with us! Earlier today, Bob shared with us that it looked like Taylor Dayne is scheduled to perform at the Eat to the Beat concerts later this year. You might recognize Taylor Dayne from songs like “Tell it To My Heart” or “Love Will Lead You Back.”

Well, we took a look at Taylor Dayne’s website and sure enough her website lists 3 tour dates for later this year in EPCOT — October 8th, 9th, and 10th. Her website specifically says that these concerts are set to take place in Walt Disney World (EPCOT) at the America Garden[s] Theatre. That is where Eat to the Beat concerts are typically held and it does fall during the time when the Food and Wine Festival typically takes place in Disney World.

So, it seems like Taylor Dayne’s website is showing that she is at least currently scheduled to perform at this year’s Eat to the Beat concert series. Dayne was scheduled to perform at last year’s Festival as well, but the concerts were later canceled.

It is important to note, however, that no concerts have been listed yet for this series by Disney. In fact, the Disney website still lists the Eat to the Beat concert series as “Temporarily Unavailable.”

We’re still several months away from the Food & Wine Festival though, so we’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we find!

Coming next to EPCOT is the Flower & Garden Festival! Check out all the details here.
