Hey DFB friends! We hope you’re ready for another what’s new because we’re back at some Disney World resorts!
We recently took a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Coronado Springs, and the upcoming Star Wars Hotel! We’ve got just a few updates for you, so let’s get started!
Animal Kingdom Lodge Miscellaneous Updates
Maji Pool Bar
Recently, we’ve noticed that tons of Cast Members at the Disney World resorts are getting costume changes! And on our visit, it was clear that Animal Kingdom Lodge was no exception! The Cast Members here also have a new outfit.
The aprons are based off of The Lion King which is only fitting for the animal-themed resort!
These outfits are super cute, and we’ve loved seeing all of the new Cast Member costumes!
There’s Something Different at These Disney World Hotels…
Animal Viewing Areas
The day we visited was a pretty glum and rainy day, so when we looked out at the savannah, there wasn’t much wildlife to see!
Fortunately, some flamingos were out to say hello!
Other than that we didn’t spot too many animals. Keep that in mind if you are at the resort on a rainy day!
Check out baby giraffes in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Coronado Springs Miscellaneous Updates
Siestas Cantina
There were not too many new updates at Coronado Springs Resort, however we did notice that the Siestas Cantina was hopping!
There were not too many places open at the resort when we visited, so we think that is what drew so many people to this pool bar.
Be sure to check the hours of the restaurants at your resort so you know what to expect!
Star Wars Hotel Updates
New Trees
We haven’t heard much about the upcoming Star Wars Hotel, but we recently stopped by to see how it was coming along!
Trees were being planted to cover the exposed buildings.
Other than that, we didn’t notice anything different.
The resort is still supposed to open in 2021, but we’ll keep you updated on any news regarding this highly anticipated hotel!

That’s all we’ve got for this what’s new! We hope you enjoyed visiting these two resorts (and one upcoming hotel) with us. We’ll continue making our way around Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!
