Forget Beignets! We’re All About a RETURNING Disney World Dessert for Mardi Gras!

Do you smell a certain something in the air? Maybe a mix of jazz, beads, and beignets? Oh yeah, baby, Mardi Gras is right around the corner!

And the BEST way to celebrate Fat Tuesday (or any Tuesday…or any day) is with FOOD, of course!

To bring a bit of the Big Easy to Disney Springs, House of Blues will feature a SPECIAL Mardi Gras Menu from February 15th through the 21st! And today we got a little preview of these New Orleans-inspired items!

House of Blues

It may not be super pretty, but the first menu item we saw was a classic Gumbo, featuring Andouille Sausage, Chicken, the “Holy Trinity” (Onion, Bell Peppers, and Celery) and Cajun Rice! This jam-packed stew will cost $8.

If seafood is more your style, consider the Shrimp and Crawfish Etouffee, which has a Traditional Brown Roux, Shrimp, and Crawfish all over White Rice! Shellfish fans can try this for $18!

We also got a sneak peek of the Bread Pudding (a DFB favorite from years’ past) which is served with Bourbon Butter and Toffee Sauce. Snatch up this dessert while you can, it costs just $8!

There’s also going to be a Jambalaya on the menu for $20, with Sauteed Chicken, Andouille Sausage, the Holy Trinity all in Stewed Rice!

We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Disney World to attend a media event that included a preview of House of Blues’ Mardi Gras options.
