After the state of California began distributing COVID-19 vaccinations, Disneyland (which remains closed due to the global health crisis) was chosen as the state’s first mass vaccination site.
As a result, the Toy Story parking lot at Disneyland opened as a vaccination site in January. However, winter storms across the U.S. have created some problems for the vaccination location.
According to NBC Los Angeles, the Disneyland vaccination site is closed and will remain closed at least until Monday. The site uses the Moderna vaccine, which ships from Michigan and Massachusetts, two areas hit hard by recent winter storms that have prevented shipments from going out on time.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti also announced that Friday vaccination appointments at city sites would also be delayed, but those with appointments could expect to get a text, email, or phone call with more information.
