A Relaxation Station at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Has Moved

If you’re going to visit Walt Disney World during the warm spring and summer months, you’re going to need to take frequent breaks. Each Disney World theme park has multiple relaxation stations. One relaxation station at Hollywood Studios has moved, and it was a much needed change.

One of the relaxation stations at Hollywood Studios was at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. And while it was nice to have such a place in the busiest land in the park, it was pointless. Galaxy’s Edge is such a busy part of the park that having a relaxation station there was a challenge due to the amount of crowding.

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular Relaxation Station

A relaxation station is a place where you can sit and relax, and take your mask off. You do not need to be eating or drinking to use the relaxation station. Disney’s mask policy is that masks must be worn at all times, except when actively eating and drinking while stationary. The relaxation stations enable guests to remove their masks without needing to consume any food or drink.

This new relaxation station is huge! It is inside the amphitheater for the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. We do not anticipate this classic, but costly, show to return to Hollywood Studios any time soon. So having a relaxation station with wide open space and bleacher seating makes more sense than the crammed corner of Galaxy’s Edge.

Have you utilized any of Disney’s relaxation station? Do you think they are helpful?

New Additions Installed in EPCOT’s Entrance Area

The newest additions in the ongoing reimagining of EPCOT’s entrance area have been installed.

Twelve flagpoles, six on the east side of Spaceship Earth, and six on the west side, have been installed over the past couple of days.

The poles differ slightly in location from what was shown in the original artist’s rendering of the area, as seen above.

Instead of flanking the perimeter of the area, the flagpoles now take a more central and, in my mind, prominent position.

Each pole features uplighting at its base, and the flagpoles vary in height.

I personally can’t wait to see them when the flags are installed, and the lighting is in full effect.
