Mr. Potato Head Becoming Just “Potato Head” For Gender Inclusivity

potato head dca

Mr. Potato Head and Mrs. Potato Head are losing their titles to create a more gender-neutral and inclusive “Potato Head” brand. The toys have been gendered since Mr. Potato Head’s introduction in 1952 and both appeared in the Toy Story film series. The Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head toys were already made out of the same potato-shaped base but came with different gendered accessories. A single Potato Head toy set will make marketing and packaging simpler for Hasbro. The Potato […]

Oscar’s Super Service

Things looked pretty normal when we popped into Oscar’s Super Service, but then we noticed that a certain chameleon was blending in with the background. Hey, Pascal!

Spot the Pascals!

He was just doing what chameleons do, but we were pleasantly surprised to see him all over the store. And of course, now we’re wanting to play “spot the hidden Pascal!”

REVIEW! We’re Dreaming of Irish Cream with Disney’s New Treat!

Valentine’s Day is long gone and St. Patrick’s Day lies ahead!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

That means it’s time to try out some NEW holiday eats and treats! We’ve already spotted the return of one of our FAVORITE Irish-influenced burgers in Disney Springs and now we’re trying a NEW St. Paddy’s Day treat.

Just yesterday, we spotted the St. Patrick’s Day Luck O’ the Irish Coffee Panna Cotta on Mobile Order at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Now, we’re back to give this treat a try to see if it tastes as lucky as it looks.

St. Patrick’s Day Luck O’ the Irish Coffee Panna Cotta

This layered dessert is made with Dark Chocolate-Coffee Mousse, Vanilla Panna Cotta, and Bailey’s Irish Cream Panna Cotta topped with a Shamrock Cookie. Um…yum! It comes with a paper lid that you peel away to expose the goodness.

St. Patrick’s Day Luck O’ the Irish Coffee Panna Cotta

We thought the treat was pretty yummy! All of the flavors meshed together and none of them were too overpowering. If you like panna cotta, you will probably like this but keep in mind that panna cotta isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

St. Patrick’s Day Luck O’ the Irish Coffee Panna Cotta

The cookie on top was a soft sugar cookie and we thought it was tasty to eat a bite of BOTH the cookie and the panna cotta at the same time. Now, this doesn’t have a SUPER strong Irish Cream flavor so that might be a little disappointing if you’re hoping for that; but we liked how the flavors were all subtle.

St. Patrick’s Day Luck O’ the Irish Coffee Panna Cotta

If you want to give this treat a try for yourself, head on over to Gasparilla Island Grill at the Grand Floridian and snag one for $5.99. Keep an eye on DFB as we hunt down MORE St. Patrick’s Day treats in the coming weeks!

White Castle Temporarily Stops Orlando Delivery

White Castle might be one of the few upcoming dining locations we’ve been excited about that’s is OUTSIDE Disney World.

Yum! ©White Castle

The new White Castle location, which is near Disney Springs, was originally announced last year. Since then, we’ve been following the construction progress, just waiting to get our hands on those sweet little baby burgers.

You might ask — what’s the big deal? Well, White Castle is a Midwestern staple, and the new location is the ONLY ONE IN FLORIDA. So yeah, we got excited when we found out that a ghost kitchen was recently set up to deliver to the Orlando area (although the delivery area didn’t include Disney World).

Delivery! ©White Castle

Except that EVERYONE was so excited about White Castle delivery that it’s now no longer available. According to Fox35 Orlando, the ghost kitchen is shutting down — just two days after opening the virtual kitchen. Why? Because demand in the Orlando area was just too overwhelming. THAT many people wanted their White Castle fix.

Tiny burger joy ©White Castle

According to Whitte Castle,”We are going to pause operations at our virtual kitchen in Orlando until after our full-service restaurant location in the O-Town West development opens.” They are planning to resume delivery come Spring.

As always, we’ll keep you updated!
