We have been waiting to eat at Space 220 for a WHILE now.
Mission: SPACE and Upcoming Space 220
This new restaurant coming to EPCOT is set to send guests onto the Centauri Space Station where they’ll enjoy dinner with a view of Earth from SPACE. The restaurant was supposed to open back in 2019, but it has been delayed for a number of reasons. Today we spotted something that might indicate there’s some more progress being made.
We’ve already gotten a peek at some concept art of what Space 220 is meant to look like.

And we even got a peek inside the actual dining room during last year’s IAAPA Expo.

During 2020, we also saw construction walls starting to come down in the area, and what looked like a possible sign for the new restaurant.

Today, when we walked past the Space 220 area, we noticed something new. The lights by Space 220 were ON.

Here’s another version of the photo more focused on those lights. You can see that slightly yellow glow indicating they were on.

We’re hopeful that this signals more progress is being made on this new restaurant. When will Space 220 open exactly? That’s something that we don’t know yet, but we are definitely on the lookout for more information. We’ll let you know as soon as you can blast off into space and eat at this out-of-this-world spot.
