We’re one step closer to Rivers of America being open for guests again!

Last fall, Rivers of America was completely drained, and Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat closed with it. After Rivers of America was refilled last month, it looks like things are finally getting back to normal! Both the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are reopening on February 5th, and now we have even more good news.
While in Magic Kingdom today, we saw Cast Members testing the boats that will take guests to Tom Sawyer Island.

The boat made a successful trip from the dock in Frontierland to the dock on Tom Sawyer Island.

Hopefully this means Tom Sawyer Island is on track for its February 5th reopening! After such an extended closure, we’re excited to get to explore the island again. As always, stay tuned to DFB for more park news and updates!
