And that means we are, of course, bringing you an update. There was a lot going on in Disney World’s wildest park yesterday, so here’s the latest news in construction and merchandise!
Before we dive in though, we wanted to give a nod to the BEST Disney outfits we saw yesterday. Check out this trio of guests dressed as Wilderness Explorers!

Animal Kingdom General Updates
Characters
We spotted a familiar face in Dinoland, U.S.A., but it wasn’t who you’d expect! Typically Donald is around with some of his Duck pals and Chip ‘n’ Dale make appearances too. But today…
Wait…is that…Pluto?
…WE SAW PLUTO! We’re not sure why Mickey’s BFF wandered over to say hello but we are so glad he did. Maybe he was looking for a bone to chew on! Hey, bud!

Discovery Island
Over at the Raya and the Last Dragon Sand Sculpture (which is still awesome btw), we noticed that a barrier of plants had been added.

Animal Kingdom Construction Updates
Pandora — The World of Avatar
Over in Pandora, the glow-up continues! A section of the pathway was blocked as bioluminescence painting takes place. This new coat of paint will allow the land to light up at night with bright colors.

We’ve seen other parts of this land closed off for repainting previously, so we can expect Pandora to be shining pretty bright soon!

And we actually saw some workers over at the Kali River Rapids entrance.

This attraction is closed for routine maintenance and will reopen in the Spring.
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Dinoland, U.S.A.
Finally, we’ve just got one merchandise update. Dinoland was home to the Annual Passholder magnet pick-up! Yep, Passholders can get their very own Donald Duck magnet! Pick-up is available Monday through Friday from park open to 4PM on select dates in February and March.
