Review: Are the Chocolate Pineapple Churros a Must-Try or a Hard Pass in Disneyland Resort?

We’re back — along with some more CHURROS — in Disneyland Resort!

Chocolate Pineapple Churros

ICYMI, we just enjoyed the triumphant return of the Fluffernutter Churros at Willie’s Churros over the weekend. But there’s always something new when it comes the wonderful world of Churros in Disneyland Resort, so we ordered up the (admittedly unexpected) Chocolate Pineapple Churros during today’s visit!

You’ll find these particular Churros available for $6.25 at the bright red Churro Cart in Disney California Adventure’s Hollywood Land.

What you see before you are regular churros covered with chocolate (crushed Oreo, essentially) with a drizzle of pineapple glaze.

And we’ll start by saying this: you can’t go wrong with the base of a Disneyland Churro! And the chocolate-coated versions have long been a hit. But here’s the rub…

When it comes to the pineapple glaze, along with presenting a very artificial pineapple flavor, it just doesn’t work for us here in combination with the chocolate.

Fortunately, they went light on the glaze, so the chocolate flavor was predominant. If you simply have to try every Disneyland Churro out there (we can’t blame you… we typically love ’em!), and you can get around the pineapple, it might be worth a shot. But we’re giving this one a pass, overall.

We can happily recommend the Fluffernutter Churro, though, and you can check out our review of that treat right here! For now, we say “So long” from Disney California Adventure!
