Valentine’s sweets, treats, and eats are starting to pop up everywhere in Disney World! And today we’re trekking around Disney’s Animal Kingdom where the seasonal snacking has begun in earnest.
Valentine’s Cupcake from Creature Comforts
Our stop is the park’s Starbucks location, Creature Comforts, to check out a Valentine’s Cupcake complete with a little Animal Kingdom twist!
This chocolate cupcake with cherry filling is topped with vanilla frosting, and that Animal Kingdom signature is a zebra-striped heart.

This may ring a bell if you recall the somewhat similar 2021 New Year’s Cupcake we tried at Flame Tree Barbecue, which also boasted a cherry filling. But this one sports some decidedly festive Valentine’s flair!

And here’s a great example… while the heart sprinkles aren’t technically baked into the cupcake, the one we received was literally COATED in heart sprinkles on both the frosting AND the cake! We’re not sure if every cupcake comes with sprinkles all over, but we’re certainly not complaining!

When you bite into the very moist chocolate cupcake, you’re greeted with that burst of filling with a few whole cherries. And in this case, that classic chocolate-and-cherry combo is even more fitting for the season than it was with the New Year’s Cupcake.

We do think our cupcake, however, may have been sitting in the refrigerated case for awhile this afternoon, as the icing was QUITE cold… and even a little hard. We’re hoping this was just ours because, beyond that, this is a treat that should please any fan of the flavor combo, while being cute to boot!
