You know you’re a real Disney fan when…you take special interest in Disney trash cans!

You may already have the Disney trash can shirt(!!) but a new trash can (or set of cans, we should say) have made their way to Disney World and they’ve got a special purpose!
We spotted these new cans outside of Restaurantosaurus in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They are a set of three cans — one green, one blue, and one gray.

The green can is for compost. Guests can place all cups, food, and service-ware in this one.

The blue can is for recycling. Guests can place bottles, cans, and cartons on this one.

And finally, the gray can is for trash, which includes packets, wrappers, and packaging.

While we were at Animal Kingdom, we learned that these trash cans just arrived at the park on Sunday and Restaurantosaurus is the only restaurant that has them at the moment.
But, what’s so special about these cans? Well, we were told that Disney is aiming to make more things for itself in the park, and these cans can help. For example, did you know that the chairs at Restaurantosaurus are made out of composted materials? Pretty cool!

We’ll definitely keep an eye out for more changes around the park like this one, and see whether these sets of special cans make their way to more restaurants around Disney World. Stay tuned for more updates from us here at DFB!
