Two Virtual MUPPET Events Are Happening Next Week!

Sometimes, you just gotta spend a week thinking about puppets.

No? Just us? Okay, but you don’t know WHICH puppets we’re talking about! Next week we’re going to have the greatest and funniest puppets of all time on the brain — The Muppets! Two super fun virtual events are happening and you won’t want to miss them!

The official Disney fan club, D23 is hosting two Muppet-y virtual events in honor of the debut of The Muppet Show on Disney+ and the 25th Anniversary of Muppet Treasure Island. Here’s WHAT they are and HOW you can watch!

First up, there’s the Muppet Treasure Island D23 Watch Party! The “Cabin Fever” Watch Party will start with a panel of creators who worked on the Muppet classic sharing stories about the making of the film and can be watched after 3PM ET on Thursday, February 16th on the D23 site or D23’s Facebook or YouTube.

These personalities include Director Brian Henson, Puppeteers Dave Goelz and Bill Barretta, Jim Hawkins actor Kevin Bishop, and host Leigh Slaughter, Vice President of Muppets Studio.

Afterwards, the watch party kicks off at 7PM ET on D23’s Twitter with some of your favorite Muppets live-tweeting along to the movie. Tune in to the flick right at 7PM on your Disney+ and pull up that Twitter account! You can follow along with #D23MuppetMayhem.

Then, on February 18th at 7PM ET, catch A Muppetational Legacy with D23. This event will be a celebrational “Muppetational” journey looking at the legacy of The Muppets with some of the minds behind this puppet troupe. To watch this event, tune in to the D23 site or D23’s Facebook or YouTube!
