On busy days at Disney World, the line to get into the Mexico Pavilion gets long — just today, we saw the wait to get inside at about 30 minutes. But what if you’re just wanting a tasty beverage from La Cava del Tequila (like we so often do)? Previously, you would have to wait in the same line as everyone else.

But as of two days ago (per a Cast Member), you can now enter La Cava del Tequila from a backstage entrance. And the best part — the wait is a LOT shorter! This area is now open to guests. Now, it won’t look like backstage because the walkway is lined with bushes that make it feel like a grand entrance for the lounge!

You’ll know you’re headed in the right direction when you see the La Cava del Tequila menu.

Keep following the pathway, and you’ll soon reach your destination!

We did this today and it only took about 10 minutes for us to get up to the bar to place our order.

So while that same group was probably still waiting outside the pyramid to get in, we were already sipping on a margarita and enjoying life! Here’s a note, though: if you want to shop inside the pavilion or ride The Three Caballeros, you’ll still have to wait in that longer line outside.
