Hello from Disney Springs!

We’re constantly visiting spots all around Disney World to see what’s new, and recently we stopped by Disney Springs to see what new things we could find. We tried LOTS of delicious snacks, hacked a grilled cheeeeeese with BACON on a donut(!!!), and got to check out some brand new artwork celebrating Soul and Black History Month. So, come along with us now on a virtual trip through Disney Springs to see what’s new!

Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew

We have had our fair share of donuts and sammies over at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. But, we recently shared that a new Girl Scout cookie donut was coming, so we had to stop by and give it a try! Introducing the Girl Scout Thin Mint Donut!

This treat is made of Classic Chocolate Iced Donut and topped with chocolate chips, mint icing, and Thin-Mint cookies.

Also at Everglazed, we developed a food hack that you NEED to know about. We’ve already had Everglazed’s Grilled Cheeeeeese on a glazed donut, but we took it up a thousand notches and added BACON to this already delicious treat.

Adding in the bacon was an extra dollar, and it was most definitely worth it.

Ooey & gooey, sweet & salty — this was a real treat and a hack you won’t want to miss out on!

Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideon’s Bakehouse has been serving up some GIANT cookies, cakes, and cold brew coffees in Disney Springs, and we’ve tried a LOT of them. But, recently we got to try something extra special — a SECRET Cake Slice! February 2nd was Secret Slice Day at Gideon’s, but to grab this unique treat you had to know the secret code.

We may or may not have acquired that secret code by looking at a post on a certain popular social media site and got to try a slice of Gideon’s Coffee Toffee Chocolate Cake, made with coffee buttercream, locally roasted espresso, toffee bits, and chocolate cake!

Amorette’s Patisserie

A few days ago, Disney shared some special events that would be coming to Disney World for Black History Month. One of the unique offerings is the release of new Petit Cakes at Amorette’s Patisserie that celebrate some Black Disney characters. Yesterday, we spotted a new Petit Cake themed to Disney and Pixar’s Soul…

…and another Petit Cake themed to Tiana from Princess and the Frog.

Both of these cakes are chocolate with raspberry mousse.

While we were there, we also spotted the new WandaVision retro cake taking us into the ’80s with Wanda and Vision.

This cake will be available through February 4th.

Disney Springs Other Updates

Finally, we ended our trip around Disney Springs by looking at some new art displays that have popped up.

These displays are again part of Disney’s invitation for everyone to “Celebrate Soulfully” during Black History Month.

They are inspired by Soul and created by artists including Bee Harris, Bianca Pastel, Arrington Porter, and Cory Van Lew.

The works reflect each artist’s interpretation of the film.
