What’s New at Magic Kingdom: Liberty Square Market Reopens, Character Encounters, and More

Hello from Magic Kingdom, DFB friends!

Cinderella Castle

We have lots to show you: characters, new merchandise, and some crowd updates. So let’s get started!

First, let’s take a look at some of the characters we saw yesterday! On Main Street, U.S.A., we came across Tinker Bell floating by.

We also saw some of Pooh’s friends on the trolley! Rabbit gave us a friendly wave.

In Fantasyland, we saw our two favorite stepsisters. Anastasia struck her best princess pose…

…while Drizella looked a bit grumpier. They were probably fighting as usual!

We also came across Jack Sparrow in Adventureland. He sure loves getting his photo taken.

And of course, what’s a day in the Kingdom without spotting the Mouse himself? In Liberty Square we saw Mickey and his friends on their float!

That’s all for our character encounters. Now let’s get into some updates!

Magic Kingdom Construction Update

Liberty Square Market

Liberty Square Market has officially reopened. The quick-service location was originally slated for a February re-opening, but has started serving guests earlier than scheduled.

Social distancing lines marked the ground as guests got their food.

If you want to eat here, you can find chips, produce, cold drinks, Mickey pretzels, and more.

Emporium

We’ve got lots of fun finds to show you from the stores! In the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A., we found lots of new water bottles and tumblers. This Retro Water Bottle is $22.99

The bracelet is $44.99.

Frontier Trading Post

In Frontier Trading Post in Frontierland, we found a new Chase Visa cardholder exclusive pin. Minnie is posing in front of her house and giving us a big ol’ wave!

Star Traders

Next, we headed over to Tomorrowland to find a new Stitch toy in Star Traders! The Pixar Toybox toy features Stitch in a spaceship with working headlights and spaceship sounds.

The ship is free-wheeling and Stitch is removable. This toy costs $34.99!

Tomorrowland Light and Power Co.

Just a few steps away in Tomorrowland Light and Power Co, we spotted a new Marie magnet! She looks as glamorous as ever with her two pink bows.

Marie Magnet

The magnet is $14.99 and reads “I woke up like this.”

Island Supply

We wanted to remind you of a helpful tip at Island Supply (aka the Sunglass Hut) in Adventureland! The Disney sunglass cleaning kits are $15, and the cleaning spray can be refilled for life as long as you keep the bottle.

That seems like a pretty good deal to us!

Magic Kingdom Crowd Update

Let’s walk around and take a look at some crowds! In Frontierland, waits were pretty average with Splash Mountain at 35 minutes

…and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 40 minutes!

We headed into Frontierland to see that “it’s a small world” was at 25 minutes.

Over in Adventureland, the Jungle Cruise line stretched pretty far back with a themed “end of line” sign.
