One of the coolest features of Disney World’s PhotoPass is being able to see your on-ride photos.
Whether you’re screaming on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, or screaming on Tower of Terror, or maybe you’re screaming on Expedition Everest — Disney’s there to capture it all. These photos are great souvenirs to bring home to always remember some of your favorite rides from Disney World. Now, Disney is testing a new feature that will make it even easier to keep track of your photos.
Today, while in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we got a notification from the My Disney Experience App letting us know about a new feature.
This new feature is in pilot right now, so they’re just testing it out for the time being.
The new feature is meant to allow attraction photos to be linked automatically through the My Disney Experience App! Essentially, your ride photos will automatically be linked directly to your app, rather than having to tap your MagicBand to the scanner at the PhotoPass spot at the end of the ride (although you can still do that).
For this new feature to work, the Bluetooth on your phone must be enabled for the My Disney Experience App prior to riding the attraction. The notice said that the new feature is being tested specifically for Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at the moment, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for any testing done in other parks.
We’ll be looking out for any new updates throughout Disney World, so be sure to check back with us!
