WHAT IS PIN TRADING
You may be asking yourselves, what exactly is Pin Trading? Well, Disney Pin Trading is an exciting interactive sport where Disney guests can trade pins with Disney Cast Members and other guests. This long lasting tradition at Disney encourages people to start a new collection or even exchange pins for the ones you’ve always wanted. It’s fun for all ages and you can create lifelong “pin pals” through exchanging your pins with other guests and cast members anywhere across Walt Disney World. Pin Trading is very simple, you can visit any of the Parks/Resorts, find a Cast Member and simply trade! Start your new collection as soon as possible, you can bring home the Magic on each visit.
1. FIND A PLACE TO TRADE
Once you have your very own lanyard designated for your magical pins, you can start your Pin Trading journey. You can simply adventure around the Magic Kingdom, find cast members/guests with their own lanyard and ask to trade! Around the Magic Kingdom there are currently 7 locations to pin trade at, due to the pandemic. These locations are: Memento Mori, Sir Mickey’s, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean Gift Ship, Space Mountain Gift Shop, Main Street Theater and The Emporium.
2. CHOOSE A PIN TO TRADE
Now that you know all of the Pin Trading locations around the Magic Kingdom, you can begin your collection. You can start by going into one of these select locations and they will have a pinboard on display. You can take a look at all of the pins posted on the pinboard and simply select which one you would like. If you’re just starting your collection and don’t have any pins to trade, they do have some that you can purchase. But, if you have pins to trade you can simply just drop your pin in a trading box near the board. Due to the pandemic, just point to the pin you would like and a cast member will hand it to you. You can trade up to 2 pins at a time! Now that you know how easy it is, be sure to checkout each pin trading location to get your magical lanyard.
