We’ve been able to confirm today that Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Confectionery will be closing for refurbishment beginning Monday, March 29th.

The location’s refurbishment has been in the works for six years, and will see the haven for all things sweet transform into a larger, more spacious shopping experience.

It’s thought that the Confectionery’s transformation is being timed in conjunction with Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary this October.

If a stop at the Confectionery is a must-do for you, I’ve been told that the shop’s baked goods will be available during the refurbishment in both the Main Street Cinema (Art of Disney) location and in the Emporium.
