Earlier today, Disney shared a ton of exciting food news, including the MAJOR announcement that Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland will begin to serve alcoholic beverages when it reopens!
With Disneyland’s opening just one month away, we’re pretty stoked to hear about any new changes coming to the parks! For those under the age of 21 or those looking for nonalcoholic drink options, additional menu changes are on the way at Blue Bayou.
Not only will Disneyland add beer, wine, and cocktails to the menu at Blue Bayou for the first time EVER, but they will also offer a selection of new, seasonal takes on the Mint Julep! Oh, Mint Julep, how we’ve missed you!
Mint Juleps are typically popular alcoholic beverages, but Disneyland’s versions are a fan-favorite nonalcoholic drinks of choice! Seriously, on a hot Southern California day, there are few things that are better. If you can’t grab a reservation at Blue Bayou, the classic Mint Juleps are always available at the Mint Julep Bar right around the corner!
We’ve tried a variety of seasonal Mint Juleps there over the years, including the Strawberry Julep which debut shortly before the parks closed in 2020. These fun twists on a classic Disneyland staple are always a welcome treat in our book, so we’re excited to see what’s in store at Blue Bayou!
At this time, Disney has not shared a specific reopening date for Blue Bayou, but they did note that the restaurant will not reopen on April 30th with the park. An exact reopening date will be announced soon, so once we know more we will let you know!
