The situation with the pandemic and COVID-19 vaccines continues to change and develop throughout the United States. Not too long ago, President Biden indicated that the United States could have enough vaccines for all adults by May, and he directed states to make all adults eligible for the vaccine by May.
Earlier today, we shared that Florida plans to make all adults eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine next month. And now, we’ve got updates from the state of California and when more adults there could be eligible to become vaccinated.
According to a recent Tweet from California Governor Gavin Newsom, California will soon be expanding eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine. Starting April 1st, Californians who are ages 50 and older will be able to sign up for a vaccine appointment.
Starting April 15th, that vaccine eligibility will actually be expanded to everyone ages 16 and older.
In Florida the timeline is a bit different. In Florida, all adults ages 40 and up will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine starting on March 29th. On April 5th, anyone 18 and older will be eligible.
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates about these vaccine timelines and let you know if we find any further changes. Stay tuned for all the latest Disney news.
