“Imagineering” is the title coined by Walt Disney to describe the department of the company that creates, designs, and builds almost everything you can experience at Walt Disney World. Think theme parks, hotels, attractions, and all! And the man heading up the team is Bob Weis! He’s worked for the company as the President of Walt Disney Imagineering for more than 5 years now, and it looks like he got a new title recently.
According to his Linkedin profile, Bob Weis is now the President of Creative and New Experience Development with Walt Disney Imagineering.

What exactly does that mean? Well, he describes it as “Leading a multidisciplinary team focused on exploring, developing and bringing to market groundbreaking ideas.”
Robert Weis updated his Linkedin with a new fancy title!
Recently, Weis has worked on many of the major upcoming projects in the Disney Theme Parks. We’ve heard him speak on the Splash Mountain transformation coming soon and the progress on the new ride TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom. And, he’s usually the one to provide construction updates on the Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure. Plus, he’s the President of Imagineering after all, so he likely has a hand in all the other ongoing projects.

So, could this new role be hinting towards even MORE new rides and attractions to come?! Or something even bigger>! Disney has not shared any information on Bob Weis’s new title. We have only seen this updated information on his Linkedin profile so far, but we will be sure to keep an eye out for updates to share with you!
