Due to the global health crisis, Tokyo Disneyland — along with Disney’s other resorts across the world — closed its doors in February 2020. Its theme parks reopened in July, later seeing the return of nighttime entertainment, as well as character meet and greets.
In December, Japan announced a travel ban on non-resident foreign travelers due to an increase in COVID-19 cases. Soon after, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea announced reduced hours through January, and then later through March 7th.
The reduced hours for Tokyo Disney’s theme parks are now expected to continue through March 21st. A statement from Tokyo Disney Resort shared this update, also indicating that the number of guests being admitted into the parks would continue to be limited.
Operating hours for both parks — at least for the time being — will be from 10AM to 7PM. The decision was based on a state of emergency declared by the Japanese government, as well as requests from local authorities. As always, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and let you know if anything changes.
