We have important news about the United States’ vaccine timeline.
Disney World
Lately, we’ve received information about when elementary school kids could receive the COVID-19 vaccine as it continues to roll out to adults across the country. Previously, vaccination for those adults was estimated to continue into summer 2021. Now, the timeline has changed.
President Joe Biden just announced that the United States is “now on track to have enough vaccine supply for every adult in America by the end of May.” According to CNBC, that’s significantly earlier than previous estimates, which stated that the United States should have a large enough vaccine supply for 300 million Americans by the end of July.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration just approved the Johnson & Johnson single-shot vaccine for emergency use, and the White House is currently working to increase that production. Biden also credits a “stepped-up process” for the new timeline.
Distancing Markers
The president did state that the U.S. “still is in dire need” of people to administer the shots, as well as places where people can go to get vaccinated. When asked when things could go back to “normal,” he said, “I’ve been cautioned not to give an answer…But my hope is by this time next year we’re going to be back to normal.”
