Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!
And, we’ve got plenty of food, merchandise, and construction updates to share with you. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s jump right on in!
Magic Kingdom Food Update
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
As we started our day in Magic Kingdom, we thought that it might be nice to stop by and give a few of our favorite treats a try. So, we headed straight for Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe where they are currently serving up the coveted Cheshire Cat Tail. Normally you would find this at Cheshire Cafe, but since that location has yet to reopen, Disney is serving it at a different location.
If you haven’t been around long enough to know how much we fangirl over these delicious guys then here’s a quick refresher! The Cat Tail is a puff pastry twisted with chocolate and drizzled with pink and purple icing. And, it’s a chocolate icing dream! It’s a simple dessert, but it’s seriously delicious. And we love how light and airy it is! It’s available for $5.49.

Sunshine Tree Terrace
We ate through our Cat Tail so fast that we thought, “Hey, why not try another one of our favorite treats?” So, we made our way to Sunshine Tree Terrace and got a Citrus Swirl!
This is always SO refreshing and you can grab a cup for $4.99! And we love the new photo wall. Our citrus swirl pics are even cuter now.

Magic Kingdom Construction Update
Tomorrowland Speedway
Over in Tomorrowland, the area near Tomorrowland Speedway is normally a more crowded point because there’s just less room to walk. Well, when we passed by yesterday there was even LESS room to maneuver since the strollers had to be temporarily moved.
That’s because a portion of the pavement near the entrance of the ride is being repaved.
If you’re trying to avoid some major crowding, try to go the other way around to access the attraction!

Gaston’s Tavern
When we made our way to the back of the park in New Fantasyland, we noticed that Gaston’s Fountain wasn’t looking very much like a fountain — all the water had been drained!
We’re not sure what they’re doing with the fountain — likely routine maintenance. But we were happy that we could still get a GIANT Cinnamon Roll from Gaston’s Tavern!

Cinderella Castle
The Cinderella Castle construction saga continues and we spotted a waterproof covering has been added to the stage as we passed through.
We’ve seen this stage go through all the different phases of construction including prep work, demo, and rebuild. We’re not sure if that stage is ready just yet underneath the new cover but we are hopeful!
Check out what’s underneath that new fancy cover HERE!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
Uptown Jewelers
Now for some shopping! Over in Uptown Jewelers, we spotted the NEW Robin Hood Dooney & Bourke Collection out and available for purchase! The collection is made up of three bags that feature characters from the classic Disney film like Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Prince John, and even Sir Hiss! There’s a Barrel Bag for $128…
…and a Crossbody Bag which is a little bit bigger for $198.
The largest bag in the new collection is the Tote Bag. The bag features lots of storage space and pockets for $268.
The bags are also covered in floral details and the seafoam green background makes it a bag worthy of use in the springtime!

Emporium
We also stopped into the Emporium and found quite a few new-to-the-store items! In the kitchen section, we spotted the Mouse Wares Tea Infuser for $14.99! We’ve seen this guy online before, but it was our first time spotting it in stores.
The tea infuser features a Mickey Icon as the weight that sits outside of your mug and the other end has room for all your tea leaves to brew the best cup of Disney tea!

We also spotted the new Tangled Mug (which is also available online) for $19.99. The mug is designed like a floating light from the movie and Pascal is hanging out in the shape of a mug handle. Who knew chameleons were so helpful as a handle!
The Beauty and the Beast home collection is still making new appearances in shops around Disney World and we spotted the Lumiere Light-Up Candle and Mug and Tea Infuser at the Emporium AND in Sir Mickey’s! You’ll have a whole house full of characters from the classic Disney movie!
Grab Lumiere for $39.99 and put his service to the test. And, you can get the Belle mug and rose tea infuser for $22.99.

And, the Rose Gold trend is BACK in full force at Disney World! We spotted a NEW Briar’s Rose Gold Face Mask for $12.99. The face mask is a pink spirit jersey fabric with the Disney World logo on the front in Rose Gold glitter.
We also spotted this mask (and a Disneyland one) online so you don’t even have to go to the parks to get your rose gold fix!

We found something for all you Disney Parks jewelry lovers! We found some new-to-us Dumbo Earrings for $14.99. The pack comes with three different earring sets, one with pink gems, another with Dumbo, and the last with a little carousel from the circus!
You can complete the Dumbo look with the Dumbo Circus Necklace for $24.99. The necklace itself is a longer dangle and the charm has a circus tent with some Dumbo icons hanging from it.
Mary Poppins fans also have some jewelry to get excited about! There’s a Mary Poppins Icon Bracelet for $19.99…
…and TWO sets of earrings! One pair of earrings has carousel horses with pink bows and gems…
…and the other is a set of three with the carousel horses, an umbrella, and penguins.
Both sets of earrings are available for $14.99 each.
Sir Mickey’s
You didn’t think we were done with the Beauty and the Beast Home Collection, did you? Seriously, these things are popping up everywhere, but never all together. Our hunt for more led us to Sir Mickey’s where we spotted the Lumiere Cake Stand for $44.99.
Lumiere is sure to do a great job balancing your food and we hear he takes special care of the grey stuff!

Magic Kingdom Miscellaneous Update
Character Cavalcades
Amidst all the shopping and exploring, we still had time to watch some of the Disney Character Cavalcades on Main Street U.S.A. and we spotted Minnie Mouse hanging out on the top of the float! Normally, Mickey Mouse is up there and we’re thinking that Minnie took her place in the sun on top of the float in celebration of International Women’s Day. We’ve seen characters change spots on this thing before, but it makes sense that she was rocking out at the top of the float for ladies’ day!
But, Merida wasn’t getting any special treatment in the morning. Her horse pal, Angus, took the morning off and Merida was walking around saying hi to guests sans horse ride.
She still looked fabulous, of course!
Here Are ALL The Events Coming to Disney Springs for Women’s History Month!
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
And, when we were passing by Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, we noticed something a bit different about everyone riding — there were a lot MORE of them.
In the past, we’ve seen them seat every other row on this ride, but when we swung by every row had people in it. This isn’t the first ride to go back to seating every row. We’ve also seen this on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Flight of Passage, and a few other rides.

On The Drive
Before we even got to Magic Kingdom, we spotted something new on our drive in! The Tower of Terror sign has long lived on the Disney highway system but the poor people in the falling elevator have been stuck for a while. But, they’re back to free falling!
When we drove past, we noticed that the sign was back in motion and their terrifying ride is continuing.
And, that’s all for our day at Magic Kingdom! We hope you had fun following us along our day at the park and we’ll be back with more soon!
