Welcome back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We took a trip around the park to see what’s new, and we’ve got lots to share. There’s new seasonal snacks as well as some other updates, so let’s dive right in!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Flame Tree Barbecue
Flame Tree Barbecue had a brand-new St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake! It’s chocolate cake with mint ganache filling, vanilla frosting, and a white chocolate shamrock. There was a TON of frosting, but this mint chocolate treat had an epic flavor profile.
It was $5.99! We’ve also spotted it over at Creature Comforts — in addition to the Valentine’s Day cupcake, which has somehow managed to stick around!

Creature Comforts
Have you heard?! You can now get oat milk in your coffee at Starbucks in Disney World! We tried it out with the Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso from Creature Comforts. Spoiler: that oat milk actually tastes like whole milk! Weird, right?
This drink was $5.99 for a grande size.

Dino-Bite Snacks
But wait! There’s MORE new treats to try. We grabbed the St. Patrick’s Day Ice Cream Sandwich from Dino-Bite Snacks and couldn’t WAIT to dig in. We loved this dessert last year, and the 2021 version didn’t disappoint!
It comes with TWO double chocolate chip cookies with a giant dollop of mint-chocolate ice cream in between. And trust us, it’s soft and chewy perfection. This sammie is $6.99!

And while we were chillin’ by Dino-Bite Snacks, we had to do a double-take. Did our beloved plastic cheese look…dare we say…different?! Sure enough, the pre-packed cheese sauces are gone!
Don’t worry — there’s a GREAT reason. Disney has some big environmental goals, and they’re trying to make more of their products compostable. And currently, only Dino-Bite Snacks and Restaurantosaurus have this compostable option. So save the Earth and keep eatin’ that plastic cheese!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Riverside Depot
In Riverside Depot on Discovery Island, we spotted some new-to-us Up earrings! Now, we’ve seen a lot of Up gear lately, but these earrings are pretty unique. They’re dangly and feature balloons as well as Carl Fredricksen’s house! They’re $14.99.
And nearby, we noticed that the Chip mugs are switching over to the new version! ICYMI, the Chip mug got a makeover, and we’re lovin’ the new look. But only that new version was on the shelf today. Could this be a sign of a permanent switch?
Both the old and new mugs are $22.99!
