There’s lots of construction going on all throughout Disney World right now.

Lots of rides and icons are receiving makeovers in preparation for the 50th Anniversary. And today, we noticed walls up around a snack stand in Tomorrowland!

Cool Ship is a kiosk in Tomorrowland where you can typically find snacks like churros, along with different drinks! And, adjacent to the snack stand is Cool Scanner, where guests can get misted with water on hot days.

The spot has remained closed since the park reopened, and now, short construction walls surround it.

We’re not sure what kind of work is being done at Cool Ship at the moment, but we’ll be sure to be on the lookout next time we’re in Tomorrowland.

It’s time for another update on the construction of TRON Lightcycle / Run at the Magic Kingdom! After the recent completion of the canopy frame, crews continued to remove the temporary supports that had supported the frame during construction. If you haven’t been to Disney World in a while, you may have missed the BIG news that Cinderella Castle is getting a stunning MAKEOVER ahead of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1st!

That new pink and blue paint job is gorgeous, but next to it, well Fantasyland was starting to look a little less like it flowed with the Magic Kingdom’s centerpiece!

Of course, Walt Disney World needs to be in tip-top shape for such a big anniversary! And we’ve noticed that the rooftops in Fantasyland are being painted to coordinate with Cinderella Castle! See how the roofs are the same shade of rich blue as the castle?!

We love a glow-up moment!

You can really see the difference in this picture, which shows a green rooftop versus the rich blue elsewhere in Fantasyland!

This photo also shows the “before.”

These are just some of the few ways that Disney World is preparing for their BIG birthday celebration. They’re also giving some attractions a SPARKLY GOLD paint job for the anniversary! And when we spot more construction and touch-ups around the parks, we’ll be sure to let you know!

All sorts of updates are taking place across Disney World right now to ensure everything looks bright and shiny for the 50th Anniversary.

Some Main Street staples are closed for refurbishment right now, a ride just reopened following maintenance, and we’re still waiting on the PeopleMover to welcome guests once again. Well, now, another Magic Kingdom staple has received an update!

Over in Fantasyland, the Tangled Restrooms are looking even prettier than normal! They received a new coat of paint, making the decorations really pop!

The previously faded murals have now been repainted, displaying incredibly eye-catching paintings!

We also noticed that some of the hanging flower baskets had been replaced.

These refreshed colors make a HUGE difference. If you’re looking for a bathroom in Magic Kingdom, don’t miss this one!

Also, some of the flags that hang above the area have been updated! Some had previously looked a little weathered from the Florida sun and rain.

We know you may not always have the chance to decide which bathroom to use, but these are some of the most immersive throughout all of Disney World! You can find them in Fantasyland, near Peter Pan’s Flight. Check back with us for more updates from the parks!
