Let’s Look at the Disney Bus Terminals at Each Theme Park and Disney Springs

One of the benefits of staying on Walt Disney World property is the transportation. While there are some fun options like monorails, boats, and the Disney Skyliner, the bulk of transportation is by bus. There are some pros and cons to Disney’s bus system. The theme park and Disney Springs bus terminals are somewhat centrally located, but at the end of a fun, but tiring Disney day having to remember to look for your resort’s bus stop can be a challenge.

Each theme park, as well as Disney Springs, has one bus terminal for Disney owned and operated hotels, and another for off-property and non-Disney owned hotels.

Transportation and Ticket Center – Off-Property Buses Directory
Transportation and Ticket Center – Off-Property Buses

To help you plan ahead, let’s look at the current Disney bus terminal set up. We’ll look at the current listing of bus lanes for the Disney resorts so you can get an idea of where your resort’s bus will pick you up at the end of the day. Just keep in mind, Disney can shuffle around the bus lanes so this current line up can change. It is also important to note that not all Disney resort hotels have reopened; this directory will change as more resorts reopen.

You’ll also see the other theme parks listed on each bus directory. Park to park transportation does not start until Park Hopping hours kick in, which currently is 2:00 p.m.

Magic Kingdom Bus Terminal

The Transportation and Ticket Center is home to the bus terminal for off-property and non-Disney owned hotels. However, it is sometimes used for Disney buses as well, such as when Disney runs a bus from the TTC to the Magic Kingdom front entrance.

At Magic Kingdom itself there is a bus terminal just a few steps from the park entrance and exit. This is a big benefit for staying at one of the Disney-owned hotels. It can save a decent amount of time, and energy, not having to deal with the TTC. The bus terminal is broken out into two wings with about half of the resorts on one side, and the other half on the other side. So be sure to pay close attention to the bus directory sign so you know your resort’s number and know which wing to head to.

At Magic Kingdom, the bus directory is in alphabetical order by resort name. Listings are subject to change, but the photos below should help give you an idea of the layout and set up.

EPCOT Bus Terminal

In my book, EPCOT has the least convenient bus terminal. It is quite a walk from the park exit. It is to the left after you exit the park. It is also structured as a square rather than a U-shape or with lanes and spokes. So there is a lot of walking involved with EPCOT’s buses. The off-property buses and the Disney owned resort buses are next to each other.

EPCOT Transportation Sign at Exit
EPCOT Bus Terminal

The bus directory also seems to change a lot. And, the bus directory is listed in numerical order instead of by resort or park name. This does not make a whole lot of sense. If you’re tired and heading out for the day, which would be easier – searching by name, or by bus lane number?

EPCOT Bus Directory

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Bus Terminal

The bus terminal at Disney’s Hollywood Studios also involves a bit of walking. It is straight ahead as you exit the park, just past the Skyliner station. The bus lanes themselves are shorter so there are four brackets of bus lanes. Pay real close attention to the bus directory so you know which bracket to which to head.

Hollywood Studios Bus Terminal

Hollywood Studios Bus Terminal

Hollywood Studios has the newest bus terminal as it was shifted from one side of the parking lot to the other when the entire front entrance was reconfigured as the Disney Skyliner came into development.

Hollywood Studios Bus Directory

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Bus Terminal

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the simplest of the bus terminals. The on property buses are in a u-shape terminal. The Disney bus terminal is to the right after you exit and walk towards the parking lot. The off-property buses are over to the left after you exit and walk down the walkway near the parking lot.

Animal Kingdom Bus Directory

Disney Springs Bus Terminal

Over at Disney Springs the bus terminal for Disney-owned hotels is nearly in the exact center. It is near Town Center, close to Lime Garage. This is convenient in one sense that you are picked-up and dropped-off at the center of Disney Springs. But, it also means that no matter where you head, unless you stay in Town Center, you’ll have a bit of a walk to get back to the bus terminal. Off-property buses are relegated all the way at the end at Disney Spring West Side. It’s quite a walk.

Disney Springs Bus Directory

It’s strange that EPCOT and Animal Kingdom are numerical, but Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs bus directories are listed alphabetically. A little consistency would make for a smoother ride.

Have you used Disney’s bus system? What tips would you add regarding the bus directories and terminals?

What Exactly Is In a $90 Adult Easter Basket in Disney World?

We have hopped right into the Easter season at Walt Disney World and have been spending our time trying the tasty (and ADORABLE) new snacks and hunting for GIANT Easter Eggs both inside and outside of the park!

So. Many. Easter. Baskets.

And, for those of you who are planning to wake up on Easter morning and head into the parks, Disney has made sure that the Easter Bunny makes a stop at your hotel to fill up the kiddos’ baskets. But did you know baskets are NOT just for children?? Neither did we! Well, get ready moms and dads cause Disney got YOU covered this holiday season. And you better get ready because it’s BOOZY!

Today, we stopped by Sandy Cove in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and found an Easter Basket that is definitely NOT for the kids. It is called the “Bubbly” Basket and comes with all the essentials for an Easter morning adult treat if you’re up for that kind of thing!

Bubbly baskets? Sign us up!

So, what exactly is included? Inside the pre-wrapped basket, you’ll find two Mickey-Shaped Rice Krispie treats, a box of Chocolate Truffles and Solid Chocolate Card, a bottle of champagne, and champagne flutes for serving!

We won’t tell your significant other that there was champagne in the basket if you don’t…

Here’s the catch though, this adult basket is going to cost you a pretty penny. Much like the create-your-own Easter baskets for kids, the cost of the basket is each item added up to one grand total so you’re looking at a price of $89.95 for this one. Those better be some really nice champagne flutes! Disney Vacation Club and Annual Passholder discounts do apply and that will bring your total down to $76.57.

Boozy Easter baskets are 100% something that we can get behind though! Seriously, who knew?! So, if you’re willing to shell out for the basket though, you’re in for one special morning treat. Actually, on second thought, BRB going to make ourselves…ahem…a boozy adult basket of our own! 😉 Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!

Will the Star Wars Hotel ACTUALLY Open at Disney World in 2021? Your Answers Were 🤯 MIND-BLOWING 🤯!

We’re anxiously awaiting more news on Disney World’s most anticipated resort, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!

©Disney via IAAPA Expo 2020 Presentation

The new experience will be unlike any other Disney resort hotel, as guests will be aboard a “ship” (the Halcyon) for two days with only one port stop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, very similar to a cruise. Guests will be able to participate in interactive stories and dress the part throughout their stay. It sounds VERY unique and we anticipate many (including us!) will be eager to try it out. Problem is, progress has been SLOW! We decided to reach out to our followers to see what YOU think!

Will the Star Wars Hotel Open in 2021?

The first question we asked our Instagram followers was Do you think the Star Wars hotel in Disney World will open in 2021? We put up a basic yes/no poll, and the results were pretty surprising!

That’s what we call a landslide, folks.

😳

Wow.

Wowwy wow.

82% of our followers said that they didn’t think it would be opening this year, which left only 18% to say that it would! Reservations for the hotel were SUPPOSED to open last year with the grand opening this year, but the pandemic delayed so many projects that this one could likely have been delayed as well.

At this time, we don’t have a set opening date (or even a date when they’ll open reservations), but we’ll make sure to update you as we get more details.

How Much Will Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Cost?

Our follow-up question to the first one was to ask our followers how much they think this immersive experience will cost. And let us just tell you, the answers were ALL over the board!

We got a WIDE variety of answers to this question!

Starting at the low end, we had a few people who guessed that a stay on the Halcyon would cost anywhere from $150-$300. (Dare to DREAM BIG!) As much as we wish this were the case, it’s probably not very likely, even if that price were “per night.” Those numbers are the price range on a value or moderate Disney World Resort, and the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is likely to be priced as a one-of-a-kind deluxe experience.

Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Dining ©Disney

Moving to the higher end of things, several of our followers guessed that the stay would cost $10,000 or more. We hope that their guess was based on a total price of a package here and not “per night” because otherwise, that would be QUITE over the top! We don’t have any real basis for a cost yet, but $10,000 seems a bit excessive for a two-night trip, considering that currently, Disney World’s most expensive rooms hover around $2000 a night.

Lightsaber Experience Aboard the Halcyon ©Disney

The majority of answers fell in the $1000-$3000 range, and as far as we’re concerned, that seems like a pretty logical guess. It’s unclear how much will be included in the price of your experience. But with onboard activities, an excursion to Batuu, and special experiences, Disney can likely charge more than they would for a typical deluxe hotel stay and people would likely pay the difference.

Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Atmosphere ©Disney

However, those weren’t the only guesses. One person said “I mean, probably at least your firstborn, maybe more 😆” and another one said “an arm, a leg, and your firstborn child.” Hopefully that doesn’t mean most of you are willing to hand over your firstborns (especially if they’re grown. They might have different feelings!). We can’t speak for everyone, but we think a vacation would be a bit tense if we had to give up our firstborns — the other kids would never trust us again. 🤣

No matter when the hotel opens and how much it costs, we’ll make sure to update you as SOON as we get those details, so stay tuned to DFB! (But seriously, try to avoid considering trading your children to Disney for hotel rooms!) We’re carefully watching the most important Disney news to keep our readers on top of things!

Disneyland Hasn’t Even Reopened Yet, and Things Might ALREADY Be Changing

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are both set to reopen on April 30th, 2021. So far, we’ve taken a look at California’s updated theme park reopening guidelines and more details about the future reopening.

Disneyland Will Be Open Again Soon!

But soon, some regulations that could impact the reopening will likely be changing.

California has been using a color-coded tier system as part of its reopening process. Counties are placed in specific tiers based on a number of factors including the number of new COVID-19 infections. Rules and regulations regarding capacity at restaurants, theme parks, etc. vary depending on what tier a county is in.

©COVID19.ca.gov

As of right now, Orange County (where Disneyland is located) and Los Angeles County are in California’s Red/Substantial Tier. But, that looks like it will be changing soon.

According to the Los Angeles Times, California health officials recently announced that both LA County and Orange County are set to move into California’s Orange Tier. This movement to the Orange tier is set to become effective tomorrow, Wednesday March 31st.

How does being in the Orange tier change things in those counties?

Well, under the Orange tier, restaurants and movie theaters can raise their indoor capacity to 50% capacity or 200 people (whichever is less). Changes can also be made in terms of capacity at retail stores and other locations.

A Peek at Downtown Disney

In terms of the theme parks, there are some changes that come with the Orange tier there as well. In the Orange tier, capacity at theme parks can increase from 15% to 25%. Indoor capacity at theme parks will also be allowed to increase from 15% to 25%.

And, indoor dining at theme parks (which isn’t allowed at all in the red tier) can be allowed for a maximum of up to 25% capacity.

You can see more of a break-down of the changes below.

We’re keeping an eye out for more details about this situation and any potential statements or updates from Disneyland about their future reopening plans.

We’ll let you know if we spot any more updates.

Where in the WORLD is THIS Cheesy Disney Detail?

We’ve been taking you ALL OVER Walt Disney World recently, to search out some of those famous Disney details!

Can you see MICKEY?!

Now, some of these little gems — like Hidden Mickeys or even Hidden Remys — are simply subtle secrets for keen eyes to discover. But today, we’re doing a little bit of the reverse of seeing if you can spot a hidden detail amidst a larger setting. Instead, we’re showing you a Disney detail and YOUR job is to see if you can guess “Where in the WORLD” it is!

Have you ever noticed this super fun food sign? We certainly have. We are huge fans of CHEESE around here, after all, so the “You’ve GOUDA BRIE kidding me!” sign speaks to us on a deep level. 😉

“You’ve Gouda Brie Kidding Me!”

You’ll notice the sign is surrounded by scrumptious looking breads, deli-style sandwiches, and tacos. And this sign humorously advertising the “Best cheeses in town” is doing double-duty as it simultaneously sits under a reminder to “Drink Coca-Cola.”

“You’ve Gouda Brie Kidding Me!” sign

Do you have any idea where in the World this is located? No? Well, let’s pan out and give you another clue.

Stepping back a bit…

The window is seen at the Mercado of the Garcia Sisters, who are at the ready to cater your next Birthday or Graduation Party, Quinceanera celebration, or other special event!

Still not ringing a bell? Okay, time for another pan out…

ZOOM OUT!

YEP! We’re on Grand Avenue in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! This California-themed area is also home to the beloved BaseLine Tap House where you can grab a brew or two, and PizzeRizzo where you can pick up a pie (or, you know, anything but the pizza)!

PizzeRizzo

This area is also where you can take in “A Salute to All Nations, but Mostly America” at Muppet Vision 3D!

Muppet Vision 3D

Those of you who remember with fondness the Streets of America (which made up this area prior to the construction of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Grand Avenue) may especially appreciate this fun find on Grand Avenue. We absolutely adored the insane amount of Disney details all over the Streets of America back in the day. So it’s always nice to be reminded that a terrific level of immersive detail is right here on Grand Avenue, too!

See of you can spot the SMALLEST Hidden Mickey in Disney World here!
