PHOTOS: Forget About Tasting the Rainbow, Disney’s Latest Ears Let You BE the Rainbow

Just a few days ago, we spotted some brand NEW pastel rainbow ears in the Downtown Disney District in Disneyland Resort.

The NEW Pastel Rainbow Ears!

And it seems that the rainbow has now stretched its way across the U.S. and over to the East Coast. If you’re looking for the new pastel rainbow ears in Disney World, we’ve got all the details here!

Earlier today, we made our way around Magic Kingdom and popped into the Emporium — that’s where we found the NEW pastel rainbow Minnie ears (disclaimer: pot of gold not included with these rainbows).

OoooOoooo! So Pretty!

These ears feature lots of sequins…

Sparkly!

…and a bow in the center covered in a whole mash-up of beautiful, pastel colors.

Be the Rainbow!

They still remind us of those Lily Aldridge designer earsBut, thankfully you can snag these for a LOT cheaper. You can grab these pastel rainbow ears right now in Disney World for $29.99.

A Sea of Ears, With the Rainbow Ones in the Front Of Course!

If you’re a fan of rainbows and all things colorful (and especially those pastels), this might be just the pair of ears for you. Not heading to Disney World or Disneyland soon? No worries! You can also grab these ears online!

ANOTHER Shop Has Temporarily Closed on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disney World

The shops on Main Street, U.S.A. are playing musical chairs!

Main Street, U.S.A.

As Walt Disney World prepares for its 50th anniversary celebration, we’ve seen all kinds of work being done around Magic Kingdom. But on Main Street, U.S.A., some spring cleaning is taking place, too! Main Street Confectionery just closed for a months-long refurbishment — and now, another shop has closed, too.

Just around the corner, The Chapeau has closed temporarily! We clued ya in that this closure was on the way, and now the day has come.

The Chapeau has closed temporarily!

The doors are shut tight, and signs inform guests that they can find headwear and embroidery at Box Office Gifts now. In case you didn’t know, that’s just down the street at the Town Square Theater! And in case you were lookin’ for it, the hat box sign at the front of the store has been removed, too.

You’ll be able to find hats and more at Box Office Gifts now!

Of course, we headed over to Box Office Gifts to check out the store’s new layout! You’ll find your typical selection of caps, hats, and more here.

Box Office Gifts now sells HATS!

Lookin’ for Mickey ears? They’ve got ya covered!

There’s Mickey ears, too!

You’ll also still be able to get embroidery done. In the back of the store, you’ll find a separate counter to assist you with personalization.

You can still get your ears embroidered!

Some examples of embroidery are on display to give you inspiration!

Check out all the colors you can get!

You can head into Box Office Gifts through the main doors at the Town Square Theater, but Disney’s also opened up the side doors directly into the shop for easier access.

Come on in!

We’ll keep you posted as The Chapeau’s closure continues! As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news.

A NEW Cotton Candy Drink Is Coming to Disney World!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some exciting new experiences on the way!

Tree of Life

We’ve been celebrating Easter all around Disney World with sweet treats and seriously impressive egg displays, but you may have forgotten about another special occasion comin’ up in April! Earth Day is April 22nd, and Animal Kingdom is celebrating with a whole bunch of Earth Week celebrations.

We’ve already told you ALL about some of the new experiences available, like special characters in the cavalcades, new characters as drawing inspiration at The Animation Experience, and even a new sand sculpture made from 40 TONS of sand! And in addition to some of the seasonal sweet treats up for grabs, Disney’s announced a NEW specialty beverage.

The Honey Bee Cupcake is making a return this year!

Introducing…the Red Crowned Crane! In this sip, you’ll get a frozen Coke topped with frozen Cherry Coke and strawberry cotton candy. Adults: feel free to spice yours up with some Captain Morgan Rum! Some like a pretty fun spin on your everyday rum and coke, right? Disney hasn’t released any more details about this drink, but you can bet we’ll be in the park to give it a try and let ya know what we think!

We’ll be sippin’ on it while we watch the cavalcades float by!

The Red Crowned Crane will be available from April 18th to the 24th. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as Disney reveals even more information about Animal Kingdom’s Earth Week. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!

“Vaccine Passports” Likely Coming Soon for United States Travelers

The Biden administration is reportedly working with private companies to develop some sort of “vaccine passport” or “vaccine credentials” that would allow people to prove they have been vaccinated. While Disney and Universal theme parks have not yet announced any change in policies regarding vaccinated guests, some companies have announced they will require proof of vaccination before allowing visitors. “Vaccine passports” could be an easy, standard way for people in the United States to prove their vaccination records. The Biden […]

PHOTOS – What’s NEW at Magic Kingdom Today: Confectionery’s Temporary Location, New Merchandise, and The Chapeau’s Temporary Location

Lots of movement today at Magic Kingdom in the world of merchandise. The Main Street Confectionery is now closed to make way for some upgrades and renovations. The Chapeau hat shop is now also closed. Both of these classic shops have temporary locations on Main Street U.S.A. And there’s some merchandise at Main Street Emporium that will surely put a spring in the step of any Disney fan. Let’s take a look.

Main Street Cinema – Confectionery Temporary Location – March 29, 2021

First, let’s start with the sweet stuff. The Main Street Confectionery is a iconic Magic Kingdom shop. Many guests make a must-do anytime they’re in Magic Kingdom. The adage “a kid in a candy store” absolutely applies in this magical, inviting sweet shop. It is now closed for a multi-month renovation, and details on what is being added can be found here.

With its closure the Main Street Cinema is now home to lots of sweet treats. The movie theater atmosphere lends another fun environment for browsing the goods that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Next to the Main Street Confectionery is The Chapeau. This charming spot is where you can get your Disney hats and Mouse ear hats personalized. This shop is now closed as well. Just around Town Square, next to the Town Square Theater, is Box Office Gifts. This merchandise shop now houses the hats and Mouse ear hats of The Chapeau. Personalization services have moved here as well. If you’re not familiar with the pricing and process of getting Disney hats and Mouse ear hats personalized, you can read about it here.

Finally, inside Main Street Emporium our team found new additions to the beloved Jerrod Maruyama collection. This collection is simply adorable and absolutely perfect for any park fan. I am personally very proud of myself for being able to resist its charm.

We also spotted some near earbud cases which are so cute we’re willing to figure out other uses for them besides storing Apple airpods. And there’s a new springtime mouse ears headband that is cute and tempting too.

PHOTOS: Kali River Rapids Reopens Early From Refurbishment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

kali-river-rapids-reopens-6

After a nearly three-month long refurbishment, Kali River Rapids has reopened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The annual refurbishment was originally scheduled through February 19, before being extended to April 2 (it’s still listed as closed on the Walt Disney World website). Work must have completed early however, as the ride was open today, March 29. The main sign for the attraction was still covered. An A-frame sign instead stood on the sidewalk. We saw plenty of guests in line and […]
