sesamenolimitenergy2

Sesame Street-themed street shows have been a tradition for a decade now at Universal Studios Japan, and this year is no exception! To celebrate the park’s 20th anniversary, the show features Bert, Ernie, and Elmo each performing special new talents in Sesame Street NO LIMIT Energy in the New York area of Universal Studios Japan! Bert has rather fearfully taken up BMX while Ernie effortlessly rollerblades by, and it’s really quite impressive to see these costumed characters take on stunts. […]

PHOTOS & VIDEO: The Iconic Spotlights Are BACK at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disney World is getting VERY spiffed up for its big 50th birthday party!

The Chinese Theater just got a glow up!

We’ve seen Cinderella Castle get a new paint job and extra bling. And don’t even get us started about what’s going on with its stage and moat. Even EPCOT is getting a massive overhaul and is already starting to look pretty spectacular!

Spotlights are back!

The nighttime look has new LED lights, but the spotlights look like the ones we know and love. Now the theatre is looking more Hollywood than ever!

Get Souvenirs Around the World Without Ever Going to EPCOT!

One thing we love about EPCOT is World Showcase, where we can visit so many countries around the world without ever leaving Disney World!

EPCOT World Showcase

Okay, so we also love eating all those internationally-inspired snacks and buying merchandise exclusive to specific countries! Oh, and the festivals!

But we just found ANOTHER place at Disney World that takes you around the world. And it’s not where you would think! We found the World Showcase at…Disney Springs! To be exact, we found the World Showcase at Pin Traders at Disney Springs, where we found a pin or two for EVERY country! We’re starting in the United Kingdom with a U.K. Minnie Pin!

UK Minnie is cute!

We found Minnie on another U.K. Pin being brilliant! And then she hopped on over to the Eiffel Tower on a Chic France Pin.

Minnie is a stylish world traveler!

On this France Pin, Minnie brings Mickey along and they kiss in front of the Eiffel Tower! And it says “you and me” in French! Awwww!

Paris IS the city of love and romance!

Of course, we got VERY excited to see there are Food Pins, too! The France pin has macarons in a Mickey shape, while the Italy pin has a BIG scoop of Mickey-shaped gelato in a cone! Um…these are making us hungry.

Food Pins! That’s what we’re talking about!

Mickey and Minnie also went to Italy for this Italia Pin. Look at them staring at each other over cappuccinos 😌.

Italia!

Italy and Norway might be far apart geographically speaking, but you can visit both countries in a blink with these two pins. The Italy Pin has a very fashionable Mickey and Minnie on it. The Norway Pin has Mickey and Minnie in a ski lift ready to hit the slopes.

Italy AND Norway

This Mickey Mexico Pin is so much fun! Check out those colorful flowers!

Mexico!

But we LOVE The Three Caballeros Mexico Pin, too.

The Three Caballeros!

We can almost smell the cherry blossoms on the Japan Pin that features Minnie.

Let’s go to Japan!

The Germany Pins feature Mickey and Minnie in traditional Bavarian outfits!

Germany!

The China Pin has Mickey with a dragon. So cool!

On our way to China!

On the Canada Pin, Mickey is taking a trip down a river on a canoe surrounded by beautiful maple leaves.

Let’s go to Canada!

Near the bottom, we also spotted a Mickey Morocco Pin!

Morocco Pins

And last — but not least — Mickey is dressed up in a historical costume with a drum on the American Adventure pin.

AMERICA!

How fun are these? We seriously want to collect them all because it really is like a trip around the world. We’ll be sure to let you know if we spot any other cool Disney merchandise!

Disneyland Resort Expansion Plans Show Marvel Black Panther Theme Park Land

screen-shot-2021-03-27-at-4-55-26-pm-3411606

The other day, it was announced that Disneyland has unveiled plans for a theme park expansion project along with possible new retail stores, hotels, and parking. In those plans, the often fan-requested theme park recreation of Wakanda from Marvel’s Black Panther seems to be present. With many new lands and attractions coming to Tokyo DisneySea possibly being erected at the future of Disneyland Park, including Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to think that something unique may […]

REVIEW: Plant-Based Jackfruit Rice Bowl at Thunder Falls Terrace in Universal’s Islands of Adventure

image-from-ios-9-134

Whether you’re on a plant-based diet or want a break from typical theme park fare, Thunder Falls Terrace is cooking up a dish featuring jackfruit. We went to the barbecue restaurant to see if this dish is a tasty, healthier alternative to the burgers and corn dogs around the parks. Though the restaurant is known at the theme park for its barbecue ribs, rotisserie chicken, and turkey legs, the jackfruit sounds like a delicious healthy alternative. We’re big fans of […]

See How Disney’s Newest Sidekick Character Came to Be!

Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon has taken off since its release on March 5th on Disney+ and in theaters! We have fallen in love with these characters, especially Raya’s iconic sidekick.

Raya and the Last Dragon Sand Sculpture

Disney is notorious for having some of the best sidekicks. We have seen Dante from Coco, Olaf from Frozen, and Hei Hei from Moana. Most recently we were given Tuk Tuk from Raya and the Last Dragon, and now we’re looking at how this lovable character was created!

Tuk Tuk is made up of three different parts — part-pill bug, part-pug, and part-armadillo. Through the concepts, you will see different characteristics from these three parts start to come through! Tuk Tuk didn’t start out as cute as we see him now. Thanks to a post on Disney’s Twitter, we can see the first concept drawing! As you can tell, it looks pretty different from the character we see in the movie.

© Disney

Bringing color to Tuk Tuk in this concept drawing gets closer to the Tuk Tuk we are familiar with, but is still very different. Also, we can’t imagine him rolling around with super-speed here. It looks like this Tuk Tuk would move pretty slow!

© Disney

In this concept drawing the long tail is gone! We start to see more of the pill bug-type shell and pug cuteness come through in his face. Raya still doesn’t seem as thrilled with this Tuk Tuk. Maybe it’s the ears…?

© Disney

This last concept brought softness to Tuk Tuk’s face. They also brought more brown tones and got rid of the gray. In this particular concept drawing, he looks a little like a worm but we just want to curl right up with this Tuk Tuk!

© Disney

And Voilà! The Tuk Tuk we know and love is created with a shell fit to transport a warrior!

© Disney

Raya couldn’t ask for a better sidekick! We think Disney animators did an awesome job in creating Tuk Tuk for Raya and the Last Dragon! He is too cute, and although Tuk Tuk may not be a lead character, he steals the show! We’ll keep you updated on more behind-the-scenes bits with Disney!

Try this adorable Tuk Tuk snack in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
