NEWS: Disney World Releases Park Hours Through Mid-June

If you’re planning a trip to Disney World soon, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on the park hours!

Who else is ready to walk right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.?

We recently saw some April hours extended for some days, and we saw that Disney had released park hours for early June. Now, we have hours through mid-June!

We checked hours for June on the Disney World website, and noticed that theme park hours have been updated through June 12th. Magic Kingdom hours for the week of June 6th through June 12th are from 9AM to 6PM.

EPCOT‘s hours are from 11AM to 7PM.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be open from 9AM to 7PM.

Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open from 9AM to 5PM.

These hours are subject to change, so we recommend checking them often. Hours often get extended for busier days in the parks, so be sure to keep an eye on that Disney World calendar for your trip dates! And as always, we’ll do our best to keep you updated, too!

Disney World Park Hours Extended for MORE of April

If you’re heading to Disney World in April, you’ll now have a bit more time to enjoy the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, your favorite rides in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and more at all of the parks.

Hello, you beautiful fountain!

We’ve seen Disney extend park hours for quite a few days in early April. But, now they’ve done it again for more days in the month.

Previously, Disney extended the park hours for various days in April, through April 10th. Now, hours at all 4 parks have also been extended from April 11th through April 17th! Let’s take a look.

Magic Kingdom

Over at Magic Kingdom, the park was set to be open from April 11th through the 17th from 9AM to 6PM. That has changed and the park will now be open those days from 8AM to 9PM.

Magic Kingdom Park Hours ©Disney

You can see that these are the same extended hours as the week before. The following 2 weeks (the week of April 18th and the week of April 25th) still show those 9AM to 6PM hours for the time being though.

EPCOT

Over at EPCOT, the park was set to be open from 11AM to 7PM from April 11th through the 17th. Now, those hours have been extended and the park will be open those days from 11AM to 11PM.

You can see that the park will also be open for those 11AM to 11PM hours the week before. But, the following week — the week of April 18th — the park is currently still scheduled to only be open from 11AM to 7PM.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the park will now be open from April 11th through the 17th from 9AM to 8PM. Previously, the park was set to be open on those days from 10AM to 7PM.

Again, you can see that Hollywood Studios shows those extended 9AM to 8PM hours during the week of April 4th as well. But, the shortened 10AM to 7PM hours still appear for the week of April 18th and the week of the 25th.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the park will now be open from April 11th through the 17th from 8AM to 8PM. The park was previously set to be open those days from 9AM to 5PM.

Again, the park has those same 8AM to 8PM extended hours for the week before in April. But, the week of April 18th and the week of April 25th still show the shorter 9AM to 5PM hours for now.

At all of the parks, Park Hopping is still set to begin at 2PM each day.

Such a beautiful view!

All of these park hours are subject to change in the future. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we find!

2 Classic Rides REOPEN Next Week in Disney World!

Sometimes, Disney World will close attractions down for scheduled maintenance or refurbishment.

PeopleMover

And here at DFB, we’re all about keeping ya in the loop! If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you’ll want to know everything that will be closed. Here’s our weekly refurbishment update for March 29th through April 4th!

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments

Hall of Presidents

The Hall of Presidents has been closed since January, while an animatronic for President Joe Biden is installed. This refurb happens each time a new U.S. President is elected!

The Hall of Presidents

Disney hasn’t announced a reopening date yet, but we’ll let you know when they do!

Learn More About the Hall of Presidents’ Refurbishment!

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

Ah, the saga of the PeopleMover. This Tomorrowland icon has been closed since March 2020, and the reopening date has been pushed back multiple times since then. But guys: there’s HOPE!

PeopleMover

The ride is still scheduled to reopen on April 4th. That’s next Sunday! Of course, this date has been pushed back at the last minute before, so we’re still not totally sure we’ll get to hop aboard next week. But we’ve got our fingers crossed! Just yesterday, we saw the ramp being tested. So maybe it will really open this time!!

Get ALL the Details on the PeopleMover’s Closure!

Walt Disney World Railroad

Speaking of long closures…the Walt Disney World Railroad sets the record! It’s been closed for over 2 YEARS to make way for construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run.

The Main Street Station’s gotten a scrim makeover in the meantime!

If you’re missin’ this iconic train, you may have to wait a while to ride again. Disney hasn’t announced the construction on TRON will be done, but it’s likely been delayed. And the path for the railroad won’t be clear until more progress has been made.

Check out the Main Street Station’s Makeover!

Main Street Confectionery

Main Street Confectionery sells cupcakes, candy, and other treats to satisfy your sweet tooth. But you won’t be able to get your dessert fix from here for a while: the shop is closing on March 29th for a pretty long refurb!

The home of Disney’s sweetest treats!

Right now, Disney World lists it as closed through June 5th. That’s as far out as Disney’s refurbishment calendar currently goes, so that closure may last even longer. We’ll keep ya posted as we get more updates!

Learn More About the Main Street Confectionery’s Closure!

Animal Kingdom Refurbishments

Kali River Rapids

Disney tends to shutter its water rides for routine maintenance in the winter, when demand is low. This is currently the case for Kali River Rapids!

Kali River Rapids

But spring is on its way, which means the refurb is ending! Kali River Rapids is scheduled to reopen on April 2nd. Have fun gettin’ soaked again!

Check Out Kali River Rapids’ Refurb!

Disney World Resort Refurbishments

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is currently undergoing a HUGE transformations! We’re seeing some general refurbs in the main entrance and lobby, as well as a Moana-themed reimagining in the guest rooms. And over by the pool area, Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area is closed through March 2021. We’ll keep ya posted if it reopens as planned sometime next week!

SO much construction!

The new Moana-themed rooms are now accepting reservations for July 19th and beyond! The rest of the work around the hotel should wrap up this summer as well.

Here’s How to Book a Room at a Reopened Polynesian!

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, the Big Blue Pool is currently closed for refurbishment. It closed in January and is expected to reopen sometime in early April.

Big Blue Pool

This huge pool is one of the best resort pools in Disney World, so we’re excited to have it back soon!

Review: Can Disney World’s NEW Cupcake Stick Around All Year?!

We’ve been trying ALL the Easter eats and treats around Disney World.

Easter Egg Hunt Cupcake

There have been plenty of bunny cupcakes, colorful cakes, and other goodies up for grabs. And when we need a break from all that snackin’, we’ve been checking out the Easter egg displays around the resorts! Today, we’re hopping over to BoardWalk Bakery to taste some new treats there.

First, we grabbed the Easter Cupcake! It’s a classic vanilla cupcake with lemon curd filling and vanilla buttercream on top. You’ll also get some candy crispies on the edge! We love how bright and colorful this looks. But how does it TASTE?!

Easter Cupcake

It was delicious! There was a fair amount of frosting, but it wasn’t overwhelming like some other cupcakes we’ve tried. And since the treat itself is a bit larger than the norm, the frosting to cake ratio was perfect.

The frosting was tasty, too!

There was also plenty of lemon curd filling, so it didn’t get lost in the cake. If you’re a fan of lemon, you’re gonna LOVE this treat. We’re sure gonna miss this one when it disappears after the springtime season!

If you like a lighter cupcake that ISN’T chocolate, we may have found the dessert for you. But if you’re not a lemon fan, we’d recommend the Oreo cupcake from BoardWalk Bakery instead! While the lemon flavor isn’t overpowering — and it’s definitely not tart — you can still tell it’s there. You can snag this treat for $5.99!

YUM.

We also grabbed an Easter cookie while we were at the bakery! It’s your everyday sugar cookie — shaped like an egg, of course — and iced with pastel designs. It’ll cost ya $3.29!

Easter Egg Cookie

We’ll keep trying all the new snacks in Disney World — and we’ll let you know what we think of ’em! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.
