Want to Visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios This Summer? You Need to Book Those Park Passes ASAP!

Planning to visit Disney World this summer AND you want to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Slinky Dog Dash, and more??

Ready to Visit Hollywood Studios?

Well, then you better start booking those Park Pass reservations ASAP and here’s why!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen Park Pass reservations filling up for spring break dates, and we’ve started to see them filling up for some of the summer months too. In just the past few days, we’ve seen more and more days in the summer where Park Passes have started to fill up. Park Passes have especially been filling up for Disney’s Hollywood Studios on MANY days in the summer (although other parks are sometimes affected to).

Get Ready to Rock ‘n’ Roll!

We know that summer might not technically start until June, but here’s a peek at what’s going on in May and other months this summer (it’s basically summer all the time in Florida, right?).

May

Planning to visit Disney World in May? Well, right now Park Passes for Disney’s Hollywood Studios have filled up for several days in May for those with Theme Park Tickets. On some days, Park Passes for both Disney’s Hollywood Studios AND Magic Kingdom have been filling up too. Some days still have full availability though — you can see them marked in green on the calendar.

The situation looks pretty similar for those staying at Select Resort Hotels. Hollywood Studios is already booked up for several days, and on some days other parks are also starting to fill up. But, some days still do have full availability.

Park Pass Availability Resort Hotel Guests ©Disney

Annual Passholders, on the other hand, are looking a bit better in May…for now. Right now, only Magic Kingdom Park Passes have filled up for May 1st and the rest of the month is still green (meaning there is full availability at all of the parks).

Annual Passholders Are Looking Better! ©Disney

But, of course, all of this could change very soon!

June

In June, things look pretty similar to May for those with Theme Park Tickets. Park Passes for Hollywood Studios have already filled up on a lot of days, and on some days Park Passes for other parks are starting to fill up too. There are still a few days with full availability though.

The situation is similar for Select Resort Hotel guests.

Get Those Park Passes Fast! ©Disney

Annual Passholders are still looking good for June with full availability.

Looking Good APs! ©Disney

Again, that’s all subject to change.

July

Park Passes for July appear to still be available at all of the parks for guests with Theme Park Tickets, Select Resort Hotel Guests, and Annual Passholders.

July Park Passes Are Still Generally Available! ©Disney

But, if this month turns out to be anything like May and June, we expect that Park Passes for Hollywood Studios (and potentially other parks) could start to fill up in the next few weeks. So, if you’re looking to visit Hollywood Studios (or really any of the parks) in July, NOW is probably the best time to book your passes while many are still available.

August

The situation looks similar in August. Right now, we’re seeing full Park Pass availability for all 3 groups.

Park Pass Availability Looking Good for Now! ©Disney

But, that could change.

Again, if July or August turn out to be similar to May or June, we could see Park Passes for the Studios or other parks filling up quickly. So, if you’re planning to visit Disney World and want to make sure you can get into Disney’s Hollywood Studios, be sure to check the Park Pass availability for the dates of your trip and book your Park Pass reservations ASAP.

May the Force Be With You While Booking Park Passes

It’s best to have those reservations made well in advance in case more things start to fill up later. And, if you change your mind about what parks you want to go to, you could try to cancel them later and make new Park Passes (depending on availability).

We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more details and updates on Park Passes and other things that could affect your Disney trip. Be sure to stay tuned for more Disney news!

Animal Kingdom Is Confusing Right Now…But We Have a Way to Fix That

Disney World has changed a LOT over the past few months.

Ready to Conquer Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

Due to social distancing policies, lines can stretch SUPER far from a ride’s entrance, and some doors to stores or other places may be designated as exit or entrance-only. Navigating your way around the parks can be more complicated now, and even rather frustrating. But, don’t worry — we’re here to help! We’ve been working on a series of maps to help you get around the parks. We’ve already shared our special, DFB maps for EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Now, it’s Animal Kingdom’s turn!

Throughout our DFB map, you’ll see little red and green dots. The green dots are meant to indicate where the entrance to that ride, shop, or restaurant is. The red dots are meant to show you where the exits are. There are also some dotted lines with arrows on the map. These are meant to show you where the queue lines for those rides or other spots will generally extend as they spill out from the ride’s designated line space.

Never Get Tired of This View

This map is based on our experiences in the parks, but of course, things can change at Disney World. So, during your trip, you might find that things are a bit different. But, we hope that these maps can at least give you a general sense of what’s being done right now and help make your next trip a little bit easier!

And if you need to make the map bigger, you can simply click on the image and it will show up larger in a new tab.

Alright! Let’s go through our map!

Let’s Get Started!

Our map starts over near Discovery Island. Here, you can see a number of dots showing the entrances and exits for the stores and other places in the area.

Discovery Island

You can see a bit more of this general area in the map below. Looking for the entrance to Flame Tree Barbecue? Look for the green dot sort-of in the middle of the map.

More of the Discovery Island Area

Next, we’ll head over to Pandora — The World of Avatar. In the map below, you can see the walkways into and out of Pandora, as well as the entrances and exits for various spots in this land.

Pay close attention to the dotted lines showing how the lines for Avatar: Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey will generally extend. You can see how the Flight of Passage line winds through one side of the land, while the Na’vi River Journey line stretches out another way.

Pandora — The World of Avatar

Next, we move over to the Africa section of the park. You can see various entrances and exits in the map below. Note how the line for Kilimanjaro Safaris will generally extend through parts of one side of the Africa area.

Africa

The map below shows the pathway and some of the spots along the walk from Africa to Asia.

Going from Africa to Asia

We then move more into the Asia portion of the park. You can see the entrances and exits to various attractions and restaurants in this area.

Asia

Then, we make our way further into Asia and closer to Expedition Everest. The map below shows a few entrances and exits near this spot. Note how the line for Expedition Everest will generally stretch as shown by the dotted black line.

Closer to Expedition Everest

And finally, we reach DinoLand U.S.A. In this map you can see the entrances, exits, and line patterns for various spots in this land including DINOSAUR.

DinoLand U.S.A.

And that’s our map of Animal Kingdom! Again, these entrances, exits, and line patterns are subject to change. But, we hope that by taking a look at this map, you’ll be better prepared for your next trip and have more of an idea of what to expect. Be sure to bookmark this page or save it so you can come back to it later!

We’ll continue to work on making more resources for you to use to make your next Disney trip easier, more stress-free, and (of course) more magical. Stay tuned for more!

PHOTOS: Fantasyland Roof Repainting to Match Cinderella Castle Continues for Magic Kingdom’s 50th Anniversary

fantasyland-repainting-3-8083984

Things are looking more fantastic in Fantasyland! As part of the ongoing preparations for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, repainting has begun in Fantasyland. Today, the rooftop’s right side has been freshly repainted, with only a small section under the two farthest windows to be completed. The royal blue and gold motif for the 50th anniversary is bold and contrasts well with the pink and gray of the building. The smaller roof section on the portico has […]

Get Ready For the Yummy! Dates Announced for the 2021 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

You know, I had a feeling that after last year, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival would be starting in July from now on. And, turns out, my hunch was 100% correct.

For 2021, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival will kick off on July 15. (Which is 10 days after the end of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival.) The Festival will end on November 20. (And will then quickly turn around for the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays….honestly, we’re just going to have festivals almost every single day of the year now, it would seem.)

Returning for the 2021 version of the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, of course, are the Global Marketplace food booths. Many favorites will be back for the 2021 season, including Canada, Greece, Germany, Hops and Barley, Appleseed Orchard and more. Plus, additional marketplaces may pop up as the festival continues.

Back again will be Emile’s Fromage Montage. Here Guests can sample a variety of delicious cheeses served in inventive ways. If you purchase any 5 cheese dishes from select Global Marketplaces listed in the Festival Passport and collect a stamp for each purchased dish, you can bring the stamped Festival Passport to Shimmering Sips for a specialty prize unique to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Also fun for the entire family will be Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak. This scavenger hunt will have Guests in search of Remy statuettes hidden all over the park. Guests will need to purchase a map and stickers from select Festival merchandise locations – Port of Entry, Mouse Gear, and World Traveler (located at International Gateway). As Guests locate Remy hidden throughout World Showcase and the Global Marketplaces, you’ll need to match the ingredient stickers to your map. Once you’ve found them all, bring your completed map to Disney Traders and choose a surprise!

Live music from favorite performers will return, including the JAMMin’ Chefs at the Canada Mill Stage, Mariachi Cobre at the America Gardens Theatre, and  Voices of Liberty at the America Gardens Theatre.

And yes, there will be lots of great merchandise that available, including a  spirit jersey, baseball cap and so much more.

All of this is just the start! The full plate of activities will be shared soon and we’ll have them for you on the blog!
