It’s a beautiful day in Magic Kingdom. We’re in the parks every day to make sure our tools and Lines app are up-to-date and accurate. Today at Magic Kingdom we continue to see extended queues throughout the park as Spring Break churns along. Chrissy also spotted another camera crew, this time in the hub grass area. We saw a similar crew earlier this week also at Magic Kingdom.
Chrissy popped into the Main Street Emporium and scoped out the character coin machines. This is different than a pressed penny. These collectible coins are not made when you pay for them like the pressed pennies are, they are premade and drop into a slot for you to retrieve. Each one is $5.00 or you can purchase all four for $15.00. Each of the four coins says “Magic Kingdom” and “Walt Disney World” on the front with Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy each on their own coin. On the back there is an image of Cinderella Castle and “2021.”
Most important of all we continue to see the arrival of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration with paint jobs in lots of areas. The archways on each of the major roadways feeding into Walt Disney World property are getting the new dark blue, purple, and gold paint job. And over the past few days special adornments have been added onto Cinderella Castle. Now the decorations can be seen on both sides of the castle.
Chrissy also noticed that Westward Ho Refreshments in Frontierland is open, most likely to help with the Spring Break crowds. If you miss the corn dog nuggets of Casey’s Corner, this is the place to stop to satisfy your craving. Also, it’s the day after St. Patrick’s Day and as such Disney has added springtime balloons to the bunches sold on Main Street USA.
