It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day!
We’ve brought you a complete guide to ALL the treats and eats that’ll be in the Disney parks for the occasion, and we’ve already given some a try in Disney World! But on the other coast, we’re gettin’ in the St. Paddy’s Day spirit, too. And today, we’re bringing you 2 sweet snacks from Trolly Treats on Buena Vista Street!
We’re kickin’ things off with the St. Patrick’s Mickey Apple! This is a Granny Smith apple coated in caramel and milk chocolate, with white chocolate details and marshmallow ears.
Okay, right off the bat, this gets a few bonus points because it’s coated in milk chocolate instead of white chocolate. Our reporter tends to prefer the milk chocolate ones, and if you do too, you’ll probably enjoy this treat! We’re lovin’ the design, too.
We will say, these apples are a little tricky to eat. They’re crunchy and chewy, plus there’s all the attachments like the hat, ears, and bow tie. They’re also pricey: you’ll have to shell out $11.99 for one of these. But if you’re a BIG candy apple fan, this one’s well-decorated and tasty!
Let’s move on to our second treat: the Shamrock Krispy. This is your everyday Rice Krispie treat, dipped in white chocolate and topped with some extra-lucky decorations. Check out that Mickey! (His ear cracked a little. Poor guy.).
We really liked this one! It was fresh and tasty, but like other Rice Krispie treats, it was VERY sweet. If you don’t love that overwhelmingly sweet taste, you may wanna try something else.
At $5.99, we’d argue this one offers significantly more value than the candy apple. It really depends on what you’re into, though!
Both of these snacks are a yummy way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. We’ll keep trying more holiday treats and let you know what we think of ’em! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.
