So little time, so MUCH food!
And although most of Disneyland Resort remains closed (although that could change soon), we’ve still been able to get our eat and drink on at Downtown Disney and on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure. Plus, there’s a HUGE foodie event coming up at California Adventure soon!
So we spent some time at California Adventure before the ticketed event starts by visiting Carthay Circle Lounge — Alfresco Dining to try out a new dessert there. What can we say? We love our sweets! The Hazelnut Crunch Mickey Pop might look like a regular old cake pop, but it’s anything but! Oh, and it also LOOKS LIKE MICKEY!
This pop is on the kids menu and is made with a Hazelnut-flavored crunch casing with two Dark Chocolate Mickey ears. So yeah, pay attention hazelnut fans, because this is one tasty treat with a LOT of hazelnut flavor!
Inside this baby, though, there’s smooth Vanilla Ice Cream, which does a good job of balancing out the hazelnut flavor.
This is a super fun dessert that kids and adults will enjoy (as long as they like hazelnut), but it’s a little pricey at $10 for what is essentially a cake pop-sized dessert. But Carthay Circle Lounge is generally pricey to begin with, so if you’re dining there, you sort of already know what you’re getting into. Considering the giant Mickey-shaped caramel apple is $11.99, this treat is a little expensive for its size.
We’ll keep trying new foods at Disneyland Resort and let you know what we think!
