Review: It’s a Throwdown Between TWO New Mickey Desserts in Disney World

If there’s one thing we love ALMOST as much as Mickey Mouse around here…

Mickey in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

… it’s a Mickey Mouse-shaped SNACK! And we found not one, but TWO new Mickey snack tributes today in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We’re making two separate stops along Hollywood Boulevard to check out the new Mickey Mouse Brownie AND the new Mickey Mouse Chocolate Chip Cookie. Are you ready for this Mickey snack throwdown?!

Our first stop is The Trolley Car Café (and, as the park’s Starbucks location, it’s just about everyone’s first stop)!

The Trolley Car Cafe

This is where we spied the Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie just hanging out in the bakery case. Hi there, fella!

Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie

No surprise ingredients here: it’s a thick, golden chocolate chip cookie packed with chocolate chunks. Why mess with a classic?

Here’s the thing with Mickey-shaped snacks, though…

Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie

The Ears can make things a little tricky trying to get him out of the wrapper all in one piece!

But that’s also a sign of how very soft this cookie is — nice and chewy! It’s every bit as delicious as it looks.

Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie

Of course, it’s not the only chocolate chip cookie in Hollywood Studios, and it’s hard not to compare this Mickey Cookie to the famous Num Num Cookie.

Num Num Cookie

We still think Num Nums are the way to go, since you get a LOT more cookie without any cut outs for the Ears… as much as we LOVE those Ears! It’s good to know, though, that the $3.99 price of the Mickey Cookie reflects that, as opposed to the $6.19 you’ll spend for a Num Num.

So, if you would love a Mickey to pair with your morning coffee? Well, the Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie is a great choice, and a magically MICKEY way to start the day!

Our next stop is the snack cart at the corner of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard where we spotted this cutie…

Mickey Mouse Brownie

The Mickey Mouse Brownie!

Coming in at $4.50, this is another classic treat, also packed with lots of those same chocolate chunks. Again, this snack is super soft. But it’s not the fudgiest brownie ever…

Mickey Mouse Brownie

It leans towards soft and rich over fudgey in consistency. Gotta tell ya, though… the Ears are just a smidge dry. (Sorry, Mickey!) The center is a much better texture.

Between the two, we’re giving the edge to the Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie. But these are two tasty treats that confirm the truth we’ve always known: EVERYTHING tastes better when it’s shaped like MICKEY!!! And no matter where or how he shows up in Hollywood Studios…

Mickey Tribute at The Hollywood Brown Derby

… it’s ALWAYS good to see him. Thanks, pal!!
