Review: Who Knew a Slime-Colored Shake Would Taste SO GOOD in Disney World?

St. Patrick’s Day is just a few weeks away, but we’re already celebrating in Disney Springs with something very green!

Disney Springs

You’ve had red velvet, but have you ever had green velvet?! Yesterday we shared that a new Green Velvet Cake Shake was available at Disney Springs, and it had a very…slime-like appearance. So (of course) we made our way over to Disney Springs today to try this slime-looking creation for ourselves!

You’ll find this unique Green Velvet creation over at Vivoli il Gelato. This spot has created some delicious red velvet treats, so we figured we’d give the GREEN Velvet a go!

Green Velvet Cake Shake!

The shake we got was a lighter green than the photo we had seen yesterday, so that makes it slightly less slimy looking (but just slightly)! The shake is made with cake batter gelato, green velvet cake, cannoli cream, and whipped cream. And, there’s a cute little green velvet cupcake on top!

Ever Shake Should Come With a Cupcake

There are also green velvet cake crumbles mixed into the shake and the cream on the top of the shake is sprayed with green coloring. But, putting aside its very GREEN appearance, how does it taste?

We actually thought the shake was really good! It truly tasted like a vanilla cake in terms of its sweetness. The flavors weren’t overwhelming at all, so it could be a good crowd pleaser.

YUM

The green velvet cake crumbles that were mixed into the shake itself added a great difference in texture which we really enjoyed. The crumbles upped this shake and made it more fun that just a regular milkshake.

Little Cupcake on Top!

Truly, we had no big complaints about this shake! It had the right level of sweetness for a milkshake, and the green color was fun. We think a good number of people would enjoy this, but especially kids. There’s just something about eating uniquely colored food that makes it more fun. Anyone out there remember green ketchup?!

Green Velvet Shake!

If you’re not a fan of milkshakes or if the green looks a little too much like slime for you, then you might not enjoy this. But, there are plenty of other snacks you can grab at Vivoli or Disney Springs that aren’t colored like the slime Nickelodeon sprays on celebrities.

If you want to try the shake you can grab it for $15 (before tax). We’ll keep an eye out for more fun Disney snacks and let you know what we find!
