There’s a NEW Procedure for Waiting in Line at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Full disclosure – this may be a Spring Break-only procedure, but today we are seeing a new procedure for waiting in line at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Specifically we are seeing a new procedure for those wanting to depart the line while the rest of their party continues to wait in line. This has only been observed at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – 105 Minute Posted Wait – March 15, 2021

A new, temporary queue is marked with a white “x” made from tape, between the FastPass+ entrance and the standby line.

Here’s how it works:

  • Sleepy and Dopey are one party
  • Sleepy says, “I need a snack” and leaves the line
  • Dopey stays in line to wait
  • Sleepy can wait in new queue off to the side after getting the snack
  • Dopey reaches the standby entrance and reunites with Sleepy at the new “rejoin the line” queue
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – New Wait-For-Your-Party Queue

The members of your party that left the line, and are waiting for you at this temporary queue, must indeed be there at the temporary queue when you, the waiting party, reach the standby entrance sign. This is to hopefully reduce frustration from guests in line and those that need to step out of line temporarily. (We’ve all heard the “I’m moving ahead in the line to join up with the rest of my party ” and some of the grumbling that this can cause from some guests.)  Again, this procedure could just be in place for the Spring Break crowds. We observed this procedure at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train only, and our team checked multiple other attractions today.
