It’s St. Patrick’s Day and that means we’ve got some very FUN little celebrations.
Two things that St. Patrick’s Day tends to bring are green eats and treats and BEER. Well, what happens when you COMBINE these two pieces of St. Patrick’s Day? We found out!
We were strolling around EPCOT today — like we do — when we noticed that a LOT of folks were walking around with GREEN BEER in their hands. Um…sign us up! We’re used to seeing Green Beer in Animal Kingdom, but not here. Naturally, we headed for the U.K. Pavilion to see if we could find the source of the hoppy, forest-toned goodness.
Sure enough, Green Beer was available at the U.K. Beer Cart, Yorkshire County Fish Shop, and Rose & Crown Pub. On top of that, ANY beer could be turned green. So, we headed on into Rose & Crown Pub for a sip.
Our bartender recommended we get the Harp as a base for the Green Beer, but you can get any that you like! The Harp is recommended because the lightness of the beer makes the green show up really well.
Taste-wise, the green doesn’t change the flavor at all. It still tasted just like the good ol’ Harp we’ve always had at Rose & Crown.
The REAL win for this is just how fun it is to have a Green Beer on St. Paddy’s Day! As a bonus, we didn’t spot any extra charge for the green. We were charged the standard price for the beer we got! In our case, that was $10.
To snag a Green Beer of your own, head on over to the U.K. Pavilion. And just as a note, while Rose & Crown completes its refurbishment, which is ending soon, food is not available at the pub! Oh, and happy St. Patrick’s Day!
