We’re still bustling from all the Disney Cruise Line updates on the brand new ship, the Disney Wish!
The new ship may not be setting sail until Summer 2022, and we may have a bit longer until other Disney cruises start up again in the US, but there is one group of Disney fans who can hop on a cruise this summer!
The Disney Cruise Line had previously announced that they would be setting sail once again in a completely NEW way this summer throughout the UK on what they’re calling “Staycations.” And, what makes these cruises a “staycation” is that the Disney Magic won’t dock at any ports and will instead spend the days at sea during select 2, 3, or 4-night adventures.
And, now you can book your cruise on the Disney Cruise Line website or by calling 0800 171 3217. Just keep in mind that you must be a UK resident to set sail on the Disney Magic during these cruises.
Throughout the summer, the cruises will depart from London Tilbury, England; Newcastle, England; Liverpool, England; and Southampton, England on select dates, though not all cruise lengths are available for each port. And, now you can see which cruises are still available and where pricing starts for each when you go to book your vacation.
The cost of the cruise will depend on both the number of nights the cruise sails and which stateroom type you choose. The cheapest options are an Inside cabin and other options include Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge.
One change to the booking process is that you won’t be able to select the exact stateroom that you will stay in on the ship. Instead, you’ll select which deck and category you would prefer for your room to be in and then Disney will assign you a stateroom before you embark with those preferences guaranteed. So, you won’t know which end of the ship you’ll be on, but you will know your view, deck, and category.
And, once you click add to cart, you’ll fill in all your party details and be booked on your first cruise in over a year!
Disney has also added a Cruise Availability Update to the website in the case that health and safety conditions require that they cancel your cruise prior to setting sail. It states that “you will be contacted with the option to receive a refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees or a future cruise credit if the reservation has been paid in full,” which is the cancellation policy that Disney has adapted for other canceled cruises this year.
So, are you ready to get back on a Disney Cruise ship? If you’re a UK resident and want to hop aboard any of these select summer staycation cruises, head on over to the Disney Cruise Line website and book your cruise! Select rooms are already selling out, so you’ll want to start planning sooner rather than later. And, as always, stay tuned for more Disney news and updates.
