Disney World UPDATED Two Animal Kingdom Activities

Earth Week is here! Now that the biggest week of Earth Month is upon us, with Earth Day on April 22nd, there’s never been a better time to take advantage of the Earth-centric activities, snacks, drinks, and limited-edition merch at Disney World!

This cupcake was almost too cute to eat… almost!

One of the best spots to celebrate this eco-friendly holiday is at Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Conservation Station, where we found a couple of fun activities the whole family will love!

All year long, Conservation Station is a resource for learning, where guests can check out different animal habitats, a veterinary room, and a science center. Oh, and not to mention, there are also precious animals there!

Conservation Station

For Earth Month, we checked out the two special activities that Animal Kingdom is offering.

Conservation Station

One involves The Animation Experience, where the park has brought back interactive drawing tutorials for a few fan-favorite Disney characters!

Earth Week in Animation Station

They’re teaching guests how to draw Bruce and Simba! While not BRAND new, these are animals Disney is highlighting for their important conservation messages, so the time feels right to learn how to draw lions and sharks! Among the other character options are Dumbo, Shere Khan, Terk, Heimlich, and Crush or Squirt, depending on which session you attend.

Learn to draw Bruce!

Elsewhere at Conservation Station, we can embrace our inner Russell and earn an exclusive Wilderness Explorers Nature Badge!

Nature Badge!!

There’s a QR code you scan with your phone, which takes you to the website for the National Park Service.

Scan the code for virtual national parks programs

This will showcase some national parks that have virtual programs you can do, including the Everglades National park Junior Rangers!

Earn your Junior Ranger Badge for Everglades National Park!

This is a fun activity you can do at home, and once completed, they’ll even mail you the badge! In the meantime, you can learn about some of the National Parks in person and earn your sticker badge.

Wilderness Explorers Handbook

We collected our Nature Badge and added it to our official Wilderness Explorers book!

This badge is sticking around JUST for Earth Week! Check back with us for more updates from Disney World!
