Disney food seems to change ALL the time.
We keep a close eye on every single menu in Disney World so that we can make sure YOU know about allllll the changes to your favorite restaurants. We check in with a full menu update every week, but today we spotted a LOT of changes that we wanted to tell you about ASAP!
Grand Floridian Cafe located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is a bit of an underrated gem. We’ve been known to take the monorail over for a lunch reservation during our Magic Kingdom days. Now, this spot has seen a LOT of menu changes.
Appetizers (All Day)
First up, there is one new appetizer available all day — the Seasonal Soup, made daily by Grand Floridian Cafe Chefs using Seasonal Ingredients. The seasonal soup has been an option for some time, but this is the first time it’s been listed on the official menu. You can snag this rotating dish for $11!
Breakfast Entrées
Having breakfast at the Grand? You’ve got two ex-secret menu entrees to choose from. First up, there’s the Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffle made with Hand-breaded Chicken Breast, Applewood-smoked Bacon and Malted Waffle with Sriracha-Honey Drizzle for $24. This one is a returning offering!
If you like french toast, you might want to opt for the Brioche French Toast, a Madagascar Vanilla Bean-scented Brioche French Toast served with Bacon or Sausage for $17.
Or get fancy and pick up the Lobster Benedict — Two-poached Eggs, Lobster, Asparagus, and Hollandaise on a Toasted English Muffin for $21. This is another returning item!
Kids’ Appetizers (All Day)
Kids have a new appetizer available all day with the Chopped Romaine Salad with Ranch Dressing for $5.
Kids’ Create-Your-Own Entrées (All-Day)
There’s also one new Kids’ Create-Your-Own Entrée that’s available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kiddos can snag the Grilled Chicken Breast served with a choice of two selections and choice of Small Lowfat Milk, Small DASANI Water, or Small Minute Maid Apple Juice for $12.
Kids’ Create-Your-Own Lunch and Dinner Entrées
The kids’ Beef Skewer with Sweet Soy Dipping Sauce entrée has been removed, but there’s a new lunch and dinner option with the Grilled Flat Iron Steak served with choice of two Selections and choice of Small Lowfat Milk, Small DASANI Water, or Small Minute Maid Apple Juice for $15.
Kids’ Create-Your-Own Selections (All-Day)
Speaking of Selections for the Kids’ Create-Your-Own meals, new options include Sticky Rice and Worms in Dirt. Plus, the Fruit Salad is now available all day. Roasted Potatoes and Sliced Apples have been removed from the menu.
Specialty Hot Beverages Featuring Freshly Brewed Joffrey’s Coffee
Though this was already available the option to add Chocolate, Caramel, or Vanilla Flavored Syrup to your specialty Joffrey’s coffee is now listed on the menu for $.50.
Non-Alcoholic Specialties
Several non-alcoholic specialties have been removed from the dinner menu. The Tropical Splash, Raspberry Colada, and Frozen Cappuccino are all morning-only now.
Interestingly enough, the Assorted Fountain Drinks option has been removed from the dinner menu although we would guess these are still available. You can also now snag a Hubert’s Pomegranate Limeade for $5.49!
Anytime Cocktails (Breakfast)
There are two breakfast cocktails added back to the menu. There’s the Chipotle Bloody Mary, made with House-made Chipotle-infused Vodka, and garnished with Jumbo Shrimp, Chorizo, and a Lime-Salted Rim for $14.
And there’s the Grand Mimosa made with Champagne, Orange Juice, and a Splash of Grand Marnier for $14. Both of these drinks have been available in the past.
Signature Cocktails (All-Day)
Finally, SIX Signature Cocktails were added back to the breakfast and dinner menus. First up, we have the Florida Sunshine made with Peach Schnapps, Chambord, Sevdka Vodka, and a splash of Orange and Cranberry Juices for $14.
Then there’s the Grand Colada, a tropical blend of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Coconut and Pineapple topped with Bols Blue Curaçao for $13.
Into strawberries? Check out the Key West, a frozen blend of Bacardí Superior Rum, Puréed Strawberries, and Orange Juice for $13. The Grand Margarita is a combo of Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila, Grand Marnier, Lime Juice, and Sweet-and-Sour for $14.
Finally, the Magical Star Cocktail is made with X-Fusion Organic Mango and Passion Fruit Liqueur, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice, and a souvenir Multicolored Glow Cube for $15.
Whew! That’s a lot of menu changes and a LOT of new cocktails! We’re eager to try some of these offerings. As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!
