Even though it’s been about nine months since Disney World reopened, there are still lots of things around the resort that have remained closed.
Between the rides, restaurants, and resorts, there are a lot of locations that have yet to welcome guests again. Here’s a quick look at everything that still hasn’t opened in Disney World.

Could Another Disney World Restaurant Reopen Soon? Here’s What We’re Seeing!
Resorts
Disney Resorts have gradually made a comeback. Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort recently reopened, and the reopening of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club Resort, and Polynesian Village Resort is on the horizon. However, there are a few resorts that still don’t have a set reopening date.
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
Of course, we’ll be on the lookout for any developments about the reopening of these hotels!
Wait…Why Are Some Hotels Reopening Twice in Disney World?
Attractions
Sadly, there are a few iconic rides that we haven’t been able to experience in over a year now.
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
- Walt Disney World Railroad (it’s been more than 2 years!)
- Enchanted Tales With Belle
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
- Turtle Talk With Crush
We sure hope we’re able to take a spin on these rides again soon.
The PeopleMover Was Moving Again in Disney World…But Not in the Way You’d Expect!
Shows
Lots of entertainment has been suspended around Walt Disney World since its reopening, like character meet-and-greets, fireworks shows, and parades. There are also some popular shows that have paused performances over the last year.
- Beauty & The Beast Live On Stage
- Disney Junior Dance Party
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
- Voyage of the Little Mermaid
- Festival of the Lion King (coming back this summer!!!)
- Finding Nemo the Musical
- Up! A Great Bird Adventure
Parks
Blizzard Beach water park reopened not too long ago, but Typhoon Lagoon doesn’t have a reopening date yet.
For all of your water park needs, be sure to stop by Blizzard Beach.
