Hopefully This Wait Time Trend Continues in Disney World!

It’s the weekend, so it’s time to take a look at the average wait times from the week in Disney World!

Hollywood Studios

Overall, wait times were lower (!!) than we saw last week, but let’s see how things fared across all four parks!

Magic Kingdom

The highest average wait time in this park probably won’t come as a shock since it has consistently been one of the longest waits for weeks: Splash Mountain takes the top spot again, this week with an average time of 62 minutes!

*No reporters were soaked by the taking of this photo*

The second highest time in the park again belonged to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, this time clocking in with an average of 50 minutes. It wasn’t even close this week! Jungle Cruise and Space Mountain were the next heavy hitters in line with average waits of 42 minutes and 35 minutes, respectively.

Trying to get a glimpse of those storyline changes!

There were several rides that hovered around the half-hour mark, including Pirates of the Caribbean (33-minute wait), Peter Pan’s Flight (31 minutes), Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (33 minutes), Astro Orbiter (31 minutes), it’s a small world (28 minutes) and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (29 minutes).

Are you the next Galactic Hero?

With waits in the 20s, we saw Mickey’s PhilharMagic with around a 25-minute wait, and Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel with an average of 22 minutes.

Maybe everyone is checking out that new paint job!

Finally, with waits under 20 minutes, we saw: Dumbo the Flying Elephant (16 minutes), Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid (15 minutes), Barnstormer (12 minutes), and Mad Tea Party (12 minutes). Additionally, Enchanted Tiki Room, the Swiss Family Treehouse, and the Liberty Square Riverboat had no wait.

Hey Ariel!

Overall, the wait times weren’t too bad this week, especially if you weren’t wanting to ride one of the two bigger ticket rides.

See what new things we found in Magic Kingdom this week!

EPCOT

Wait times also calmed down a bit here, but the most popular rides stayed the same with Test Track leading — this week with an average wait time of 51 minutesSoarin’ clocked in a fairly close second with an average wait of 46 minutes.

Vroom vroom!

Other runners up for the longest wait time include Frozen Ever After at 43 minutes, and Mission: SPACE which had an average of 41 minutes.

Mission: SPACE

Spaceship Earth had an average wait of 25 minutes this week, with everything else in the park falling under 20 minutes. Journey into Imagination averaged around 17 minutes, while The Seas with Nemo and Friends was about 16 minutes on average.

Fish really are great friends!

The slow boat rides were the lowest waits in the park this week, with Living With the Land carrying an average 10-minute wait and Gran Fiesta Tour clocking an average of 8 minutes.

Gran Fiesta Tour

The movies and shows in EPCOT all had a zero-minute wait time this week, which included: the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Awesome Planet, Impressions de France, Reflections of China, and the American Adventure.

We found a NEW menu this week in EPCOT!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom had fairly low wait times across the board this week, aside from one major (and unsurprising) outlier: Flight of Passage clocked an average wait of 61 minutes. While this is certainly down from last week, it was still the longest wait in the park by 20 minutes!

We found the line!

The next highest wait belonged to Kilimanjaro Safaris, with an average wait of 41 minutes, followed by several rides hovering near a half-hour wait: Kali River Rapids (33 minutes), Na’vi River Journey (33), and Dinosaur (31).

Dinosaur got a spring glow up!

It’s Tough to Be a Bug had the next longest wait at 22 minutes, followed closely by Expedition Everest at 18 minutes.  Rounding out the park, TriceraTop Spin had only a 7-minute wait.

Are you yeti for this?

As usual, the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trails had no wait time to go in!

Check out the ice cream upgrade we saw in Animal Kingdom this week!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This park’s top two rides were duking it out again this week, and although it was closer than last week, Slinky Dog Dash still carried the longest wait in the park at 60 minutes, with Tower of Terror falling just short of that at 56 minutes.

You’ll get ’em next week, bud!

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was also pretty high up there at 47 minutes, with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster not too far behind at 35 minutes, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway clocking in at 33 minutes.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run

Almost everything else in the park hovered just under a 30-minute wait, including Star Tours (28 minutes), Toy Story Mania (27), Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy (27), Muppet*Vision 3D (26), and Alien Swirling Saucers (26).

OoOoOoOoOoh!

Walt Disney Presents had the lowest wait in the park with an average of 14 minutes.

We had a WILD week at Hollywood Studios!

While wait times were definitely lower across the parks this week than what we had been seeing, we’re still not sure that we’ve seen the end of the spring crowds. We hope this information will still be helpful as you look to plan your next Disney trip, and we’ll be keeping you updated on what we’re seeing each week!
