Is Disney World Trying to Break the Record for Most Construction Walls?

Does it seem like there are tons of construction projects going on in Disney World right now?

Cinderella Castle

Well, that’s because there are! We’re here to fill you in with updates on the ongoing projects throughout the parks and resorts.

Magic Kingdom

Tangled Restrooms

Ready to be impressed by a bathroom? We sure hope so. The Tangled Restrooms are some of the prettiest bathrooms in all of Disney World, and now they’re looking even better. This week, the area around the bathrooms got a fresh coat of paint making everything bright and shiny!

Refreshed bathrooms!

The bright, extensive murals are now looking much brighter and more picturesque.

Bright and shiny paint!

Not only has the paint been retouched, but the hanging flower baskets have also been replaced.

Fresh designs and flowers!

We understand that when you gotta go, you gotta go — but, consider making a pitstop at these awesome bathrooms in Magic Kingdom! The inside is full of even more immersive details.

Fantasyland

Another area in Fantasyland has been spruced up as well! Behind the castle near the fountain, the buildings can be seen boasting fresh paint.

Fantasyland looks SO different!

The blue is much richer in comparison to the previous sun-faded exterior.

BLUE-tiful!

Now, this facade will fit in with Cinderella Castle’s look much better! Later in the week, we also spotted some walls up behind the castle.

Construction Wall

Now, if you ask us, we think Disney World simply doesn’t need any more construction walls. But, they keep adding more and more.

Cool Ship

Early this week, we noticed that Cool Ship, a snack stand in Tomorrowland had some short construction walls surrounding it.

Cool Ship Getting Refurbished

You can typically find small snacks (like churros) and sodas here, but it’s been temporarily unavailable since Disney World reopened last summer.

Walls are up!

Nothing major seems to be going on here at the moment, but we’ll let you know if that changes.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel

As part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is getting refreshed too! You can see some recently added gold leaf painting around the movie frames!

Looking good!

We can’t wait to see Magic Kingdom once it’s fully decked out for the celebrations later this fall!

EPCOT

Spaceship Earth

Although we did recently see some walls come down around Spaceship Earth, there are now more in place.

No more walls, pls

And if that weren’t enough walls…

Morocco

Morocco ALSO has a new, mystery wall in place. What’s that about?!

Another Wall

Seriously, this is a big one. The walls just never end.

All Blocked!

EPCOT truly has a lot going on right now, so we’ll be keeping up with all the construction projects taking place there.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Pandora — The World of Avatar

Over the past few months, the grounds of Pandora have gone through the process of being repainted. This bioluminescent paint helps the land really light up at night!

Having this fresh coat of paint will add even more eye-catching illuminations for guests visiting Pandora after sundown.

Disney Resorts

Pop Century Resort

We noticed some painting taking place at one of the buildings that house guest rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.

Getting some fresh paint!

It was happening near the “60s” area of the resort, by the Mowgli and Baloo statue.

Art of Animation Resort

The Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has been closed for refurbishment since January. And it’s now reopened!

The Big Blue Pool is back open!

During our last visit, guests were splashing about among Nemo and friends and enjoying the pool!

General Construction

Walt Disney World Entrance Sign

Over at World Drive, it looks like the reimagined entrance sign is just about (if not, completely) finished!

New and pretty!

There were still cones and construction machinery in the area when we last drove past, so they might be adding some finishing touches.
