It’s officially April in Disney World, and we’re seeing colorful treats EVERYWHERE.

While we’ve seen plenty of pastel Easter treats and bunny butts, Disney recently released all of the treats coming to the theme parks for Earth Day! There are some returning treats and drinks, but others are new. And today, we’re taking a look at a BRAND NEW cupcake!
Since we’re at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it’s no surprise that we’ve seen our fair share of animal-themed cupcakes. There’s the cheetah print 2021 cupcake and the Cotton Top Tamarin Cupcake, but the latest Disney World cupcake is based on the lovely flamingos!
Flamingo Cupcake
This gorgeous HOT PINK cupcake is made of strawberry cake filled with strawberry compote, with guava buttercream frosting and strawberry crisp pearls. The flamingo’s wings are white chocolate and its head is sugar! We were pretty thrilled to hear about the flavors in this cupcake. After all, how unique is GUAVA frosting?!
Of course, we had to take it to visit its flamingo friends!
Even though the flavors SOUND amazing, how did the cupcake actually taste? Well, we loved the cake and compote! The cake was nice and moist, while the strawberry notes in the compote were tasty. In fact, we wish we had even more of that filling!
Take off the wrapper and the cake is PINK!
The guava taste in the frosting wasn’t overwhelming — it was just a little less sweet than vanilla! — so even if you don’t like guava, you probably won’t mind these flavors. However, like many other Disney cupcakes, there was a LOT of frosting. We’re BIG fans of that, but if you’re not into frosting, be warned!
The filling was so good!
If you’re not a fan of super-sweet desserts (or if you just prefer chocolate!), you may want to skip this treat. But strawberry fans: THIS is the cupcake for you! Overall, we really enjoyed this snack. And WOW is it photogenic, too!
