Is anyone else having construction fatigue at Disney, or is it just us??
There have been a LOT of changes taking place at Disney World, and we’ve been tracking them all. We took a look at all of the updates this week and are here to give you all the deets!
Magic Kingdom
Pinocchio Village Haus
A lot of places in Magic Kingdom have recently gotten repainted, like the Tangled restrooms, different areas behind Cinderella Castle, and Cool Ship, to name a few. Now, Pinocchio Village Haus is another to get a fresh, updated look.
The roof has been repainted, and now looks bright blue.
Barnstormer Starring the Great Goofini
Some minor updates have been made at the Barnstormer as well. The decorations that surround the ride have been refreshed. Some of the coverings that were formerly faded by the sun have been updated, with bright blue and red colors.
Annnd, this little rocketship has been repainted!
We’ll be looking for all the updates in Magic Kingdom (no matter how tiny) as we approach the 50th Anniversary celebrations.

EPCOT
Pin Traders
The work at EPCOT continues! We’ve reported on the massive metal barges of Harmonious, the permits filed for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and a new addition to the Morocco pavilion!
This week, we noticed new walls around the recently closed Pin Traders at the front entrance of EPCOT. Currently, Pin Traders is showing hours on the Disney World website starting May 7th, so we’re expecting these walls to come down then!
EPCOT’s main entrance has gotten a major glow-up recently, so hopefully, this is the last of the construction fences that we’ll see in this area! We’ll keep an eye out for when Pin Traders officially reopens!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
On your way to join the race through the streets of L.A. with Steven Tyler, you may spot some updates happening to the pavement in front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!
Several sections of the pavement have been updated in front of the iconic gigantic guitar, so keep an eye out on your next visit!
Say hi to Aerosmith’s agent for us while you’re there!

Disney Resorts
Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds
The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool waterslide is undergoing some refurbishment from now through May, according to Disney’s website.
They were redoing the stairs and platform while we were nearby. Currently, the swimming pool itself, along with the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, are both open for guests to use.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
We’ve been closely tracking the major reno happening at the Polynesian Resort!
Reservations are already open to guests to visit the new Moana-themed rooms, and we recently reported that the Kiki Tikis Splash Area has reopened to guests (hooray!). This week we spotted more work happening at the monorail station.
Currently, the monorail does not stop at the Polynesian Resort while construction is taking place. If you are traveling to and from the Magic Kingdom, make sure you utilize their boat access! Or if you’re feeling adventurous, take a stroll to the Grand Floridian and continue on its new pathway to Magic Kingdom!
And that’s all the new construction updates happening this week! Things are changing CONSTANTLY, so make sure you keep checking DFB for the latest scoop!
