Disney has just announced that the centerpiece merchandise location for EPCOT will no longer be called Mouse Gear, but Creations Shop, and that the new store will open this summer!

Creations Shop will boast a “bold, sleek design that creates a perfect showcase for the rich variety of items you’ll find as part of your EPCOT experience.”

The merchandise location will feature natural light, bringing the outdoors inside. The vaulted ceiling will feature what appears in the artist’s rendering as teak, and a large mural of Mickey Mouse will be featured on one of the merchandise location’s focal walls. Imagineers took inspiration from Mickey as they designed the whimsical space. Guests will find nods to him throughout the shop, and original artwork will be featured throughout the space as well.

Across from Creations Shop, guests will find a reimagined Club Cool Hosted by Coca-Cola, which will debut this summer. Guests will be able to once again sample Coca-Cola drinks from around the world, and “new magic” will be added to the space.
