The Summer festivities are starting to begin now! Much like myself and countless others who absolutely adore the summer, so do you guys. This year in Orlando, Aquatica has finally announced their new water slide is finally open. This new amazing attraction is called Riptide Racer and you’re really in for a treat with this water slide. We have been to Aquatica countless times and let’s just say this ride is absolutely awesome. Along with checking out the new water slide, we had the opportunity to taste test some new foods and drinks as well. But for now, it’s time to strap in and learn more about this amazing water slide and foods.
AQUATICA
For those of you that have never heard or even been to Aquatica, you’re in for a treat. Aquatica is a chain of water parks operated and owned by SeaWorld. They have parks operating in Orlando, FL, San Antonio, TX and Chula Vista, CA. We had the chance to checkout Aquatica in Orlando yet again, they have a plethora of water slides and things to do. You can experience a weightless feeling aboard the KareKare Curl or maybe feel the breathtaking rush on Ray Rush. If you’re coming as a family, they have plenty of kid friendly options and for the adults you can relax and unwind in the lounge chairs. They also have plenty of dining and drink options. You can even purchase your very own Cabana to relax and enjoy yourself in. As we speak the tickets are on sale at the moment, you can purchase a single ticket for $39.99 and a Ticket + All Day Dining for $69.99. If you plan on going to Aquatica quite often you can purchase an annual pass for $132 to $372, depending on which pass you decide to purchase.
RIPTIDE RACER
Brand new to Aquatica, you can slide into a mesmerizing dash with the grand opening of Riptide Racer. Being the world’s tallest dual racing water slide, Riptide Race is an action packed water slide that puts you up against opponents to race against each other to the finish line. This thrilling water slide allows you to speed through tubes at high speeds while making turns and loops. This ride is fun for friends and family, so be sure to accept the challenge and make it to the finish line. The water slide itself is 68 feet tall and you ride in a 2 person raft. You have to be 42” or taller to be able to ride the water slide and there is a weight limit of 250 lbs individually. But if you’re riding in a group, you cannot weigh over 400 lbs together. Riptide Race is a dash to the finish line while traveling side by side through high speed twists, turns, and tunnels. We got to ride Riptide Racer on the grand opening day and it was an absolute blast. Be sure to check out this amazing ride, you will not regret it.
NEW FOOD OPTIONS
Being an absolute “foodie” we couldn’t help but not taste test all of the new food options here at Aquatica. Starting off, we stopped at the new dining option here at Aquatica called Papa’s Cantina. From here we started off with Empanadas and Boneless Wings. The Empanadas were spinach, artichoke, and cheese with a cilantro lime sauce on top and the wings were just standard buffalo flavored wings. The Empanadas were super good and very easy to eat and the Buffalo wings were tasty but not as spicy as I hoped. Along with the new dining option called Papa’s Cantina, Aquatica also came out with a new beach bar called Moto’s Beach Bar. From this beach bar you can order a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. All in all, if you decide to come to Aquatica be sure to check out these 2 places. The food and the drink options were delicious food options to purchase.
